DC225 Fall 1902 Results - AlanRFarrington   (Jan 21, 2009, 12:12 am)
Hey Guys, Hope your day was slightly better than mine (nothings worse than being a conservative on a college campus [in a blue state] on Obama's inauguration day!)

Headlines are as follows: Italy comes to the Frenchman's rescue with a lone army. Russia and Britain spar in the North. Russia refuses support from Turkey and pays the price as the hungry Austrian pushes farther into the Southeast.

One Retreat is needed
Russian Fleet in Rumania needs to retreat (either OTB or to Black Sea)

DC:225 Question - AlanRFarrington   (Jan 16, 2009, 10:34 pm)
Anthony Stevens has brought up the question of how to get a program to help with these games. The answer should benefit most of you so I am sending out this collective email.

There are many places to find RealPolitik (or other games that will run Diplomacy). If you go to diplomaticcorp.com and log in (in the bottom left corner) you will find a number of links. If you click on downloads It will give you a bunch of links. Realpolitik 1.7 is probably your best bet for now. You'll notice that all of my adjudications come with an attachment that says "224.dpy" This is a realpolitik file and will open in 1.7. I suggest using it to map out strategys, answer questions, and helping to write orders (because you can just click around on the map and then copy and paste).

If anyone needs help running the program dont' hesitate to ask,
Alan Farrington

Fall 1901 Results - AlanRFarrington   (Jan 09, 2009, 11:20 pm)
Hello Everybody,
I hope everyone had a terrific holiday season and a happy new year! I want to thank Eugene for stepping into the Italian role before we could lose too much time. I hope you all got a chance to at least welcome Eugene to the game before this turn, but regardless we must move on. Builds go up all around the board as two armies are found being convoyed to open centers. A german fleet muscles its way into Belgium with help from an army in Ruhr and the French take the Iberian peninsula. Finally, a strange set of circumstances allow for an English fleet in Denmark. Coincidence?

Sorry Guys,
Michael Cassel in Italy has just informed me that he doesn't have enough time to devote to this game. I'll be withdrawing him and looking for a replacement.

Again, sorry for the delay,
