dc305 revisited! - FuzzyLogic   (Feb 09, 2011, 7:45 am)
Hey guys,

Just so you know, I'm going to call this game a 4-way draw of those who responded.  Site to be updated shortly!  A new game is open on the site already... in case you want to get into a good game.  The GM is Penner, a dc regular sure to be a good one!

Hey folks,

I don't know who out there thinks the Earth is round... but every once in a blue moon, we to have that game that seems to fall off the edge of existence... possibly into another world... maybe it's related to the location of all my left socks, or maybe it's where the tooth fairy sticks all her teeth (what does she do w those anyways?)  but nonetheless where once there was a game, sometimes there seems to be none... Well it's time to lift that illusion as we revisit dc305!

This game - once led by the almighty Kyle - who seems to have found a calling in life that takes him far from here... is lost no more.  It is time to move forward.

So I present to you now --- wait for it ---

-me-

<applause>

<cheer>

<dancing girls>

No really.  I'm what you got.  Is it Christmas?  No - better.  A GM that is here to carry this game to completion.  And believe me when I do say that I run a pretty tight ship.

So I offer you now to all step forth!  Our 5 players of the 305.  Confirm you are in this game!

England - Matthew!

France - Jenn!

Germany - Buck!

Russia - Ponk!

Turkey - Andrew!

With Austria and Italy in Civil Disorder.

What do you all want to do w this game?  Some ideas...

1) Play it out

2) Call it and end it a 5-way draw

If you wish to vote for 1 or 2, you must agree to abide by whichever receives majority vote!

If you do not wish to vote for 1 or 2, you can settle for being removed from the game, the vote, etc.  Get a CD, and be done w it.

If you don't reply at all, I'll wait up to a week or so and then just remove you.

Hopefully we can get a unanimous, or at least a strong preference, from all 5.

So I present to you a clear option to either play it out or call it honorably!  Next step is up to you... Talk it out amongst yourselves and send me your preference, I'll tally them up and get back to you.

Map is attached.  Current turn is Fall 03.

Thanks!

-mike

PS - My apologies for not noticing the game was stagnated sooner.

Well folks I have not heard from Jenn so I'm just going to call this a 4-way draw.  That ok?

Unfortunate that a game had to end this way, particularly for those who are new!  That is not the norm.  So get in another and it should move along.

Hey all,

So far I’ve heard from 4 of the 5.  Without the 5th tho, we don’t have a game.  Also being the holidays and all, ppl maybe not on their email, I don’t want to make any quick decisions since the game sat for a bit anyways.  So I’ll let it go till Jan.  If no reply from the missing player, I’m just going to call it a 4-way among those who replied.  That seems to be agreeable to all.  If the 5th does show up tho then it’d be game on.

Thanks, hope all have a great Christmas!

DC305 - 1902 Winter Builds - ignite107   (Apr 24, 2010, 11:13 am)
An interesting turn of builds.  France builds a fleet in Marseilles in anticipation of an Italian abandonment, while Russia benefits from a poor Turkish decision in trying to build in Bulgaria (you can only build in your home SCs).  Germany is going to look to hold on, but what will England do?  They don't really have too many places left.

FYI - At any point during Spring or Fall you may put an allied win up for vote.  All submissions for wins are anonymous and will be voted on by everyone who remains.  Civil Disorders will not get a vote.  A vote must be unanimous.

DC305 - Autumn Retreats - ignite107   (Apr 17, 2010, 6:42 pm)
Here are the maps for the autumn retreats.

Winter Builds are due April 21st, 17:00 CT

I have asked if we can change to recruiting but it seems that does not look like an option.  Hopefully Italy will wake up so we can have a good go of it.

There's no surprise that the Germans had strong opposition from three fronts but in the end, it could have been dangerously worse.  Russians seems willing to be friends with everyone but the Germans, however a move into the Black Sea might be arousing some suspicion from the Turkish neighbours.  Then there's Italy, giving up Trieste to the Turks while sneaking into the Eastern Med.

And lastly there is the French and the English.  Both garnered support from the Russians, but while France slipped into Munich and the Brits docked in Denmark - the English Channel suddenly becomes English territory as the naval force moves suddenly south.

DC305 - 1902 Spring - ignite107   (Mar 31, 2010, 6:59 pm)
With the votes tallied it appears most desire to have Austria simply go into civil disorder.  Upon looking at the map and outcome, it does give Italy a small advantage - but none that would not have been realized already with a heavily crippled Austria.  Now the question remains, who will take Budapest?  Will it be Italy?  Russia?  Turkey?  All seemed to have converged there.

While Italy, Turkey, and Russia have all converged it looks like in the North West there seems to be a huge battle brewing.  Denmark is surrendered (at least for now) to the English.  I'm very curios to see what will happen in the fall.

But before then, we have a retreat to make.  Germany's fleet can go to Ska, Hel, or Bal.  Decision for the Summer is due Friday April 2nd, 17:00 CT.  Unless of course it's marked final.

DC305 - 1901 Fall - ignite107   (Mar 17, 2010, 5:12 pm)
A very interesting battle out in Western Europe.  We see the Germans refused entry into both Belgium and Holland.  One must wonder whether or not that was a coordinated effort or simply just blind luck?  Around the Adriatic the Austrians storm the beaches of Trieste to retrieve their territory.  Forcing the Italians out of Trieste at least.  Who knows where he'll retreat.  The rest of the world remains quiet.  Only time will tell.

DC305 - Spring 1901 Moves / Orders - ignite107   (Mar 08, 2010, 7:06 pm)
And the quest for world domination has begun.  What will come of the Italians who have begun to make progress into the Austrian lands?  Will the spaghetti makers be able to hold up against catapults of Wiener Schnitznel?  Meanwhile, the French will celebrate everyone retreating from their every move.  Who knew the French could be so scary?  Everyone made progress, well mostly everyone.  Half the Russian army was stopped by a single Turkish fleet.  That only leaves the Germans and the English.  Maybe they are working together for a world filled with Sauerkraut English Muffin sandwiches, perhaps they will solidify the deal over tea and bratwurst in Mother Russia?

So many questions, I guess well have to wait until Fall when the true allegiances really show themselves.

DC305 Conquest and Collaborations is Afoot! - ignite107   (Feb 28, 2010, 10:39 pm)
I'm excited with so many new players to see just how unpredictable this game is going to be.  I encourage you all communicate regularly, as communication is the key to diplomatically getting everything your heart desires (Supply Centers, chocolate, and olympic gold).

First up, your country assignments.  I did what I could to assign top choices to everyone, of course I could not fully accommodate but it was pretty close.

Austria - crisott2000: gomwolverines12-at-aol.com (gomwolverines12-at-aol.com)

Adjudications will be approximately 7 days for each Spring / Fall, 2 days for retreats/builds.

Send your moves with the following subject line please
dc305 SEASON YEAR - COUNTRY

All moves will receive a confirmation and I will accept moves up until I start adjudicating.

NMRs are never fun for anyone.  Send in preliminary moves - moving without a plan is still better than holding and not having a plan.  Get your moves in early to avoid any confusion.

If a player NMRs once we will continue with that player, a second NMR will put the game on hold til we find a replacement.

FIRST DEADLINE
March 8, 2010 : 5pm CT

Enjoy, have a great game!  Any questions, comments or concerns, let me know.
