Gentlemen,
Through sword and fire, France moves into an impressive 20 center solo victory. Equally impressive, in my mind however, is the fact that in a quiet little corner of Turkey, the Sultan takes some back and ekes out a survival. While cities everywhere begin importing wines and smelly cheeses, Turkey beats back all four nations attacking it and regains Smyrna from Italian hands...
With that, peace falls in Europe. My congratulations to Mike H for his worthy victory. My hats off, also, to all of you players who have battled your hearts out to this point. EOGs, of course, are very welcome - let us know what you think of the game and its result. =)

France continues in the quest for emminent domain. I have to say French fleets moving from the Barents Sea and moving into the Aegean Sea in the same turn is pushing it a little... But here we find ourselves in that very situation...
One retreat to worry about after the Spring moves, and that belongs to the Italian army from Venice. The green troops may fall back to Tyrolia, Piedmont, Tuscany or OTB. Deadline for the retreat will be set for Thursday, February 7th (11:59 PM GMT.) The Russian Red Cross supporters in Berlin were also dislodged, but with nowhere to retreat to they were automatically disbanded.

France rules in the Scandinavias, Italy in Central Europe - although a bounce in Trieste leaves a sizeable gap in the line. Russia makes an appeal to the Red Cross for aid, and a solo concession to France is proposed.
One retreat is the result of the Fall moves, but the Turkish army in Vienna had only Galicia to retreat to. Joe, if OTB is preferred, please just let me know. Otherwise we'll roll on into the Winter adjustments and solo votes. Deadline for Winter will be set for Thursday, January 31st (11:59 PM GMT). Please also have in to me by that time your Yay or Nay nod over whether to concede this game to a French solo. Lack of a vote will count as a no.

Deadline for summer retreats is in less than a half hour - I have neither of them submitted. Since the problem might be the weekend deadline, we'll extend to Monday, Jan 21st (11:59 PM GMT). I will, however, adjudicate early if I receive both retreat orders in and marked FINAL.

The attrition continues as two more of Turkey's armies succomb to the onslaught. Faced with impossible odds, the Constantinople and Bulgarian forces give up the ghost. Meanwhile, French forces walk into even more centers on their road to European domination...

I could not find a winter order from Russia resulting in a waived Cossack build. France builds a fleet in Brest, Italy a fleet in Naples and an army in Rome and Turkey pops up with an army in Constantinople.

Hi gang,
We're unfortunately missing all four retreats from Turkey for the Early Winter turn. I'll give Joe a few more hours to send me some word, and then I will auto-retreat the units OTB if nothing is received.
In addition, both the French solo and the Italian solo proposals have been shot down. We play on!
