DC 463, Winter 1906 - jakobworldpeace   (Feb 15, 2014, 2:17 pm)
Dear all
Unfortunately, it is time for me to say goodbye. Although I wasn't successful, I really enjoyed this game and the interesting correspondences I had with all of you. Hopefully, we will get the chance to meet again in some future game! Also, I want to thank you, Warren, for the excellent job you are doing as the administrator.
Good luck for the rest of the game and best regards
Jakob

Hello everyone,
I'm sorry to say that I'm going to have to drop out of this game. As you may
have noticed, I haven't been as responsive to your messages as I had when
the game first started. I've simply become too busy recently to be able to
put any thought into the game at all, and while I could stick around to
submit orders every week, that would be a disservice to this game which
thrives on active, involved, and talkative players.
I wish you all the best and have enjoyed playing against you all, and I hope
to see you again across the Diplomacy table in the future.
Warren- since this is so close to the deadline I can give you a set of
orders to move the game forward if you'd like, but be aware that I haven't
been able togive find the time to negotiate with anyone in a number of
weeks.
Best,
Archer

Best of luck Archer, sorry your schedule requires you to leave the game.
Warren I have a question, is it too late to appoint someone to take over Russia?   If not perhaps a delay is in order, I can say for my part not being able to get a response from the Russian player has had a huge impact on the game.

Okay, the adjudication will stand as is.  Sorry John, this sucks, but I did not receive them and neither did the order box.

Retreats and adjustments still due in a couple of hours.

Unfortunately we have our first nmr this fall, I failed to find orders from France. John, if I missed them please let me know ASAP, 24 hours by the rules.  They should be in the DC orders box if you remembered to send them there.

Now, the turn.

Two retreats needed, one from Germany and one from France.  They are due tomorrow, in just under 24 hours, along with Winter adjustments.  Remember, you can submit build/disband orders conditional to the retreats, since they are all due at the same time.

-----------------------------
Autumn:
Both units also have the option of retreating off the board, which will happen if I don't get an order for them.

French F Marseilles can retreat to Gulf of Lyon.
German F Sweden can retreat to Finland or Gulf of Bothnia or
           Denmark or Skagerrak.

Winter:  These assume that both units retreat.  If they go off the board then France only removes one, and Germany would build one.

Austria:   Supp 10 Unit  9 Build  1
England:   Supp  4 Unit  3 Build  1
France:    Supp  4 Unit  6 Remove  2
Germany:   Supp  6 Unit  6 Build  0
Italy:     Supp  3 Unit  3 Build  0
Russia:    Supp  5 Unit  4 Build  1
Turkey:    Supp  2 Unit  3 Remove  1

Anyone confused?  Unsure about the conditional builds?  Send me a note. I'll check all evening.

Maps attached.  Check the orders.

dc482 fall 1904 - catsfather   (Feb 14, 2014, 12:46 am)
Germany sent in a change of orders at 18:55GMT last night.  I overlooked them.  New results.  The key change is that Vienna is supported into Tyrolia giving Italy a retreat.  So...

A hectic season yet only one retreat ... due to there being three disbands.

Italy retreats Tyr, or OTB.

Austria must disband their remaining two units as Turkey, Italy, and
their enemy Germany work together to kick Austria out of the game.

Builds due tonight, Friday 14th, at 8:00pm GMT.

(I'm not sure why Russia's sev - mos is a dotted line in the orders gif.)

Thanks for the update.  I think it also drops me down to 1 build.  But if I am incorrect let me know.  I'll take 2 builds if I can.

*Russians Return to 1901, Urge Others to do Likewise*
*England Envies Russia*
*Italians Offer to Play for Austria*

Hey all,

We've got some pretty clear trajectories going on here. The southern nations rise in power as the north decreases. Only Germany breaks the mold by gaining a build. Two retreats need to happen, but as each only had one valid retreat, I auto-adjudicated them. Norway-Finland, and Rumania-Galacia.

For Winter we have:

England: -2 (-Nwy, -Lvp)
France: +1 (+Lvp)
Germany: +1 (+Lvp)
Italy: +2 (+Vie, +Bud)
Russia: -1 (-Vie, -Bud, -Ank, +Sev, +disbanded F Bla in spring)
Turkey: +1 (+Ank, -Sev, +extra build from 1903)

Due tomorrow!

DC 483, Fall 1904 - alwayshunted   (Feb 13, 2014, 7:28 pm)
Unfortunately we have our first nmr this fall, I failed to find orders from France. John, if I missed them please let me know ASAP, 24 hours by the rules.  They should be in the DC orders box if you remembered to send them there.

Now, the turn.

Two retreats needed, one from Germany and one from France.  They are due tomorrow, in just under 24 hours, along with Winter adjustments.  Remember, you can submit build/disband orders conditional to the retreats, since they are all due at the same time.

-----------------------------
Autumn:
Both units also have the option of retreating off the board, which will happen if I don't get an order for them.

French F Marseilles can retreat to Gulf of Lyon.
German F Sweden can retreat to Finland or Gulf of Bothnia or
           Denmark or Skagerrak.

Winter:  These assume that both units retreat.  If they go off the board then France only removes one, and Germany would build one.

Austria:   Supp 10 Unit  9 Build  1
England:   Supp  4 Unit  3 Build  1
France:    Supp  4 Unit  6 Remove  2
Germany:   Supp  6 Unit  6 Build  0
Italy:     Supp  3 Unit  3 Build  0
Russia:    Supp  5 Unit  4 Build  1
Turkey:    Supp  2 Unit  3 Remove  1

Anyone confused?  Unsure about the conditional builds?  Send me a note. I'll check all evening.

Maps attached.  Check the orders.

Warren

Hi group,

John has informed me that he did in fact send orders.  I am following up on this with the tournament director, who will check the DC order box for me.  I will keep you all posted.

Unfortunately we have our first nmr this fall, I failed to find orders from France. John, if I missed them please let me know ASAP, 24 hours by the rules.  They should be in the DC orders box if you remembered to send them there.

Now, the turn.

Two retreats needed, one from Germany and one from France.  They are due tomorrow, in just under 24 hours, along with Winter adjustments.  Remember, you can submit build/disband orders conditional to the retreats, since they are all due at the same time.

-----------------------------
Autumn:
Both units also have the option of retreating off the board, which will happen if I don't get an order for them.

French F Marseilles can retreat to Gulf of Lyon.
German F Sweden can retreat to Finland or Gulf of Bothnia or
           Denmark or Skagerrak.

Winter:  These assume that both units retreat.  If they go off the board then France only removes one, and Germany would build one.

Austria:   Supp 10 Unit  9 Build  1
England:   Supp  4 Unit  3 Build  1
France:    Supp  4 Unit  6 Remove  2
Germany:   Supp  6 Unit  6 Build  0
Italy:     Supp  3 Unit  3 Build  0
Russia:    Supp  5 Unit  4 Build  1
Turkey:    Supp  2 Unit  3 Remove  1

Anyone confused?  Unsure about the conditional builds?  Send me a note. I'll check all evening.

Maps attached.  Check the orders.

Warren

Okay, the adjudication will stand as is.  Sorry John, this sucks, but I did not receive them and neither did the order box.

Retreats and adjustments still due in a couple of hours.
