DC 218 SHIFT LEFT: Spring 1913 results. Fall 1913... - TheWhiteWolf   (Aug 23, 2009, 10:14 pm)
I'm afraid you're going to have to explain that comment to my slow Italian self. If you haven't been paying attention, I certainly AM playing for my best possible position, and it seems to me that Germany is in the lead...

Ah Interesting

I reaad those comments as

"Italy/Germany are not playing for the best position they can achieve but are happy to allow someone else to get a solo by Kingmaking."

At least now I know the calibre of players in this game,

Italy has taken that approach also. Neither one of us is big fish, but we're still here. Deal with it. ;o)

pengie---that's not what i meant...i simply meant what i said, namely i won't vote for any non-DIAS draws....i have no illusions about my ability to decide the winner (i don't have that ability nor would i use it if i had it unless it were to help me win.)

as for my my caliber of my play--my position speaks for itself, i'm terrible...

for the record i think italy and germany are doing the best the can and both are in a far better position than i am so i'm the last one to cast aspersions on anyone else's ablity in this game and i will heartily and sincerely congratulate whomever wins or is in the draw.

game on!

To my mind:

Win = good result
Draw = okay result
Survival while other people draw = Survival while someone else wins = elimination = bad result

It doesn't matter how many centres you've got if you don't get a win or part of the draw, and that's exactly the approach the game rules imply. As it happens I've been going against my principles and voting for the draw recently, but only because I'm trying to pull out of diplomacy at the moment.

regards,
Stephen

The draw fails yet again and the spring 1913 orders are due 8/19/09 at 2100.
That's a but shorter than normal, but I get the impression that not a lot of talking
is going on and I want to beat a players absence starting 9/20.

All units retreat OTB and the builds are:

Austria:
Build A Budapest

Germany:
Build A Kiel
Build A Berlin

saying no...

I'll send a full EOG when it's all over as I have some things I want to
say about this one.

The AG proposal fails and yet another AG draw is proposed for your
consideration.

Technically I need three retreats and they are:

Turkish A Constantinople can retreat to Ankara or Smyrna or OTB
French F London can retreat to Wales or OTB
Russian F Norway can retreat to Skagerrak or Norwegian Sea or
Barents Sea or OTB

Since Russia has no more dots I am simply going to retreat it off the
board and thank Matt for staying
with his position right to the very end.

That all being said, assuming the units (except Russia) retreat the
following adjustments are needed.

Austria: Supp 10 Unit 9 Build 1
England: Supp 0 Unit 0 Build 0
France: Supp 4 Unit 5 Remove 1, remove 0 if retreat is OTB
Germany: Supp 14 Unit 11 Build 2
Italy: Supp 4 Unit 4 Build 0
Russia: Supp 0 Unit 0 Build 0
Turkey: Supp 2 Unit 3 Remove 1, remove 0 if retreat is OTB

DC 218 SHIFT LEFT: Fall 1912 results. Retreats a... - packrat   (Aug 10, 2009, 11:18 pm)
I need retreats and adjustments, BOTH, by Wednesday at 2100. If you need to see the
retreat to decide what to build, then please feel free to submit contingent builds.

The AG proposal fails and yet another AG draw is proposed for your consideration.

Technically I need three retreats and they are:

Turkish A Constantinople can retreat to Ankara or Smyrna or OTB
French F London can retreat to Wales or OTB
Russian F Norway can retreat to Skagerrak or Norwegian Sea or
Barents Sea or OTB

Since Russia has no more dots I am simply going to retreat it off the board and thank Matt for staying
with his position right to the very end.

That all being said, assuming the units (except Russia) retreat the following adjustments are needed.

Austria: Supp 10 Unit 9 Build 1
England: Supp 0 Unit 0 Build 0
France: Supp 4 Unit 5 Remove 1, remove 0 if retreat is OTB
Germany: Supp 14 Unit 11 Build 2
Italy: Supp 4 Unit 4 Build 0
Russia: Supp 0 Unit 0 Build 0
Turkey: Supp 2 Unit 3 Remove 1, remove 0 if retreat is OTB

Austria:

A Bulgaria - Constantinople
A Rumania Supports A Serbia - Bulgaria (*Cut*)

Tried to push the draw through until the very end but someone kept
saying no...

I'll send a full EOG when it's all over as I have some things I want to
say about this one.

Right

I can only assume that someone like Italy is voting no to draw. I am voting Yes. I am NOT going to stab germany over the draw. So by constantly voting it down, i guess some players are playing king maker by hoping germany will solo. I personally dont like that type of diplomacy.

I will propoise another Austria-Germnay Draw for the spring season,

I think we should shift everyone left - for this next season.

Hmmm, I wonder how that would play out - after fall of each
year, but prior to the winter, everyone shifts left one country
as per the list of where each started.

DC 218 SHIFT LEFT: Fall 1911- OOOOOPPPSSSSSSSSSSS... - packrat   (Jul 15, 2009, 10:16 pm)
Gentlemen:

For some reason the "corrected" map attached to the corrected email was NOT
the corrected map. For that reason I think more than one person wrote their
orders in error.

So, in the interest of doing this all correctly I am now attaching the actual corrected
map for Spring 1911.

I would like resubmitted orders from all the players as well as the VOTE for the AG draw.
No vote received counts as a vote of "no."

Deadline is set for Friday.
