dc254 f04 results! - FuzzyLogic   (Jul 31, 2009, 2:56 pm)
At long last! But with this much action, it was worth the wait!

Russia gets the axe as he is eliminated by a combined effort from the witches, Germany tries to finish off France, who holds on for another year, and Turkey comes on strong in the Balkans dealing Austria a major blow. There are no retreats to process, so we move right along into the builds, which we'll make due Tuesday 8/4, 6pm Central / 2300 GMT.

Austria: Remove 1
England: Build 2
Turkey: Build 3
Russia: Remove A Livonia

Enjoy!

dc254 - updates - FuzzyLogic   (Jul 28, 2009, 6:30 pm)
Hey guys just to update y’all I’m waiting for one set of orders. Normally I’d just process an NMR but this is Warren’s game so I don’t want to make any game-altering decisions like that. I’ve contacted the player. If no answer, then I’ll leave it to Warren to decide such things. If you’re the one we’re waiting for, pls contact me privately to discuss if you’re playing or if you’d rather be out of the game! Keep in mind you can revise moves up until the adjudication.
Thanks,
-mike

1 - Dirk is AUSTRIA (not Germany - Germany is still Jeff, alive and kicking, sorry Jeff!) - Too many games all needed a substitute at once.

2 - The site had a couple misposts, Autumn and Winter 03 were posted as 04. That's all cleaned up now.

3 - The next turn due is Fall 04, which is what will be for Monday July 27, 6pm Central / 2300 GMT.

4 - Current RP file and map are attached.

I think that's it... if I've botched anything else just let me know. Smile

Enjoy,

-mike

Hi folks,

Just like that dc254 is rolling again, as we welcome Dirk Knemeyer to the game to head up the reins of Germany. He's a somewhat new player to the site, but eager to get into a 2nd game so let's see just how the Germans will fare under the new leadership.

Let's set spring 05 due on Monday July 27, so that everyone can have a fair chance to stab the new Austria.

Looking at the online map, it seems as tho somehow we played Spring and Summer 04, but then skipped the Fall turn and went to Winter. Can someone send me a correct Realpolitik file?

Thanks!

Hey folks,

The game is officially in recruiting mode at DC until we find a new Austria. In addition, I am going away for work for the next 10 days or so, and will be completely out of touch.

So unfortunately I need to delay for a while here, and will get back at it as soon as I return. Sorry for the inconvenience.

DC 254, Summer 1904 - alwayshunted   (Jul 17, 2009, 5:35 pm)
Hi folks,

Well, no word from Hari, so unfortunately I am going to start looking for a replacement player.

I won't state a deadline for fall because we're on hold while I look for a new player.

That brings up another issue. I am travelling for work in remote areas starting on Monday. I will have no internet access whatsoever, so I have no choice but to delay the game for a bit. If I can find a replacement by Monday morning it will hardly affect the game at all, so here's to hoping.

In the mean time, here is summer 1904.

France:
F Brest - Gascony

I'll be in touch soon. Maps are attached.

DC 254, Spring 1904 - alwayshunted   (Jul 14, 2009, 6:11 pm)
Hi folks,

Well, some of you noticed that I put the wrong year on the map last week when I adjudicated, and some didn't, but regardless it's not really that important. For your info, the current year is 1904.

One more quick note, which our Turkish player might want to pay particularly close attention to... sometimes you NEED to specify coasts. I will accept orders if there is only one option (for example the English move from Bothnia - St. Petersburg), but not all GMs will, so it's a good idea to get in the habit of specifying a coast. In the case of Turkey's move from Con - Bul.... well there are clearly two options, so that unit holds for this turn. Sorry Chris.

Now on to the adjudication. Unfortunately we have an nmr from Austria, second in a row. Only one of them has been for a major turn, so I'm willing to keep Hari in the game if he gets in touch with me soon. Otherwise I will have to seek a replacement. I will hold off on setting a new deadline for two days to give Hari a chance to contact me.

So here are the goods. It looks like our Russian is finally on the ropes, and remarkably Austria remains unscathed through his missed orders.

I think that's it for now. Maps are attached. I'll be in touch soon.

.ExternalClass .EC_hmmessage P {padding:0px;} .ExternalClass body.EC_hmmessage {font-size:10pt;font-family:Verdana;} Hey folks, here it is. A couple of issues to mention first off:

1. I am going to change the time of day that I make my deadlines. It has become clear to me with my new job etc that evenings just aren't working out, so I'm moving the times up by 5 hours. This will make them due at 5 pm my time, or 11 pm GMT on the same day.

2. I have a request for a short delay due to a holiday, which will put off Autumn and Winter for a few days. The new deadline will be in six days, on Monday the 6th of July, at 17:00 MST, which is for autumn retreats. Winter adjustments will be due on Tuesday the 7th. Please note that if I get an order from Russia marked as FINAL I will adjudicate the autumn turn early, but winter will still be due on Tuesday the 7th because of the requested delay.

Okay, now on to the goods. There are rumours flying around about the job security of the head of the Austrian bureau of communication. It seems the illustrious leader often doesn't know where his forces are located, and as a result, orders are often not reaching the appropriate commanders. Russia's attempt to liberate Warsaw falls slightly short, for the time being at least... but perhaps the Turkish armies lurking to the south are there to help....... perhaps not. Lots brewing in the west, with some areas changing hands. Fun, fun fun! There has been a massacre in Brest, with the English army being destroyed, and there is one retreat for Russia... see below.

Warren,

I sent orders on June 11th. I have a confirmation email from you, but can not get it until I get home from work.
I don't think it will change the outcome for me, but I did not NMR.

Warren,

I sent orders on June 11th. I have a confirmation email from you, but can not get it until I get home from work.
I don't think it will change the outcome for me, but I did not NMR.

DC 254, NEW Spring 1903 deadline - alwayshunted   (Jun 17, 2009, 12:51 am)
.hmmessage P {margin:0px;padding:0px;} body.hmmessage {font-size:10pt;font-family:Verdana;} Hey everyone,

Judging by the number of orders I have received so far, I guess you guys were actually expecting a winter MAP.... heh, heh.... which COMPLETELY slipped my mind until earlier today.

ANYHOW, without going into a whole bunch of excuses about my crazy life, I am going to just extend the deadline for a couple of days, and send you an updated map. So here it is.....

The new deadline is:
Thursday, June 18, 22:00 MST

Like I mentioned, I have very few orders. Get them in folks..... just under two days.

DC 254, Winter 02... sort of... - alwayshunted   (Jun 09, 2009, 5:35 pm)
Hey guys,

My bad, I have been working outside of the office the past couple of days, and I haven't had much chance to get online. I don't have realpolitik on this computer, so I am sending you the text of what happened, but no map until tomorrow sometime. You will all have to use your imaginations.....

Here are the adjustments:

England: build fleet Liverpool

Germany: build army Berlin

Russia: remove fleet Baltic Sea
remove army Ukraine

Turkey: build army Constantinople

Map will show up tomorrow, and the new deadline for spring 1903 is: Tuesday, June 16, 22:00 MDT.

Hey folks,

Still don't have all of the adjustments. Winter is due tonight, in just over 12 hours.
