That’s what happens when you’re running multiple games. It becomes quite difficult to keep one’s llamas separate from one’s fairytales separate from one’s tournaments. In this particular case, llamas pillaged the tournament in a fairytale. But like all good stories, it comes to a happy end as we do here, with correct maps.

Okay gents,
I'm not sure about the rest of you, but Peru AND Venezuela BOTH being blue
AND BOTH having the letter U as symbol has been bugging me and now that
they are in close proximity it is more distracting then before.

I edited the CNT file in the SAS variant folder of the RP program so the Peru
is now black and Venezuela has Z as the designator.

Up to you if you want to change it or not, but here it is.

Siestas overcome lower South America, as nearly a third of the units take the turn off. This leads to absolutely nothing happening in the southern half of the continent. But in the north it's just the opposite as blood is shed on every front... Can't we all just be like the peaceful south???

All,

I've sent my subordinates orders to pack my llamas. I'm going off on a little trip and will be back on Wednesday. The people who remain here have been told that any messages to me that arrive by llama should be held until I'm back, so don't hesitate to send me those llamas.

All,

I've sent my subordinates orders to pack my llamas. I'm going off on a little trip and will be back on Wednesday. The people who remain here have been told that any messages to me that arrive by llama should be held until I'm back, so don't hesitate to send me those llamas.

Llamapalooza to be held in the Amazon! Or, so it would seem as everyone heads for the jungle. Elsewhere, Bolivia gets multi-national support into Potosi and Argentina has random enemy units floating just about everywhere. And after how many years of a standoff - Colombia finally pushes Peru out of the contested sea zones - but right into the Galapagos? Find out Monday!

NNIGTFML update! - FuzzyLogic   (Oct 13, 2009, 2:51 pm)
Well folks our previous Brazil has disappeared somewhere into the ether, and so stepping forward we have Fredrik - and with him comes a new llama to feed. Or be fed... Or be fed to someone, your call. Let's all welcome Fredrik to the game! All at once now...

"Not now, I've got to feed my llama".

So get on that. And when you're done, get back to him. Cuz he's Brazil, and we all know Brazilians are traditionally known as ravenous monsters willing to feed upon the souls of their neighbors. Fredrik should fit the part nicely.

I'm going to extend the turn a bit <groan!> but I want to give our newcomer a chance to orient himself. So the deadline is Friday! 10/16, 4pm Central / 2100 GMT.

Good luck!

NNIGTFML - Yesterday?? - FuzzyLogic   (Oct 09, 2009, 8:20 am)
Guys, I was short 3 sets of orders for this turn. That's not cool. If you dont want to play, opt out. If you do, turn in prelims. Every turn. It only takes a few moments when you receive any adjudication to reply and submit an order for each unit - even if you dont know what you want it to do yet. Then when the deadline comes around there's no delay. I love running Dip games but I want to run them for ppl who want to play them. You like getting results the day, if not the moment they're due out, and I do my best as a GM to accomplish that - but you've gotta want it as players. For those who turned in prelims, thank you.

If you replace your .rgn file with this one, you'll be able to see the names w/o the units covering them up.
Just go into c:\program files\realpolitik\variant files\sas and save this there, overwrite the existing one.

What? I'm not? Aww, crap.
Mike, please let the Venezuelan people know I'm not really El Presidente, that I've simply been an imposter this past year. A fool parading in the streets with a crown, cape and scepter.
I'll turn in my keys to the presidential palace promptly (wow, try saying that five times fast!) and vacate the premises. Packrat, thank you for rescuing these poor souls from following the wrong leader!

Well isn’t this quite a diverse opening we’ve got here! Some players on 2 centers, others on 7. The big winner for the day has to be Brazil with 3 builds on top of a 4 to start, while Bolivia just manages to break even when their capital falls to Chile . Peru and Colombia bounce over the Galapagos Islands , while the other 3 manage a relatively uneventful pair of builds. Net results?

Argentina: Build 2
Brasil: Build 3
Chile: Build 2
Colombia: Build 2
Paraguay: Build 2
Peru: Build 1
Venezuela: Build 2
