There should be an army in StP, not in Fin. Corrected map attached.

(Seems that I did the Fall adjudication correctly, only to revert for the autumnal retreats).

I have a retreat for Itea (actually, I've had it awhile... just now adjudicating...)
F Norway disbands.

Itea: Supp 1 Unit 1 Build 0
Hembria: Supp 1 Unit 1 Build 0
Zonotrichia: Supp 15 Unit 11 Build 4

My, but that map looks glowingly green...

DC 345: Paint the Town Green - AceRimmer   (Mar 17, 2011, 9:32 am)
Well, top o??? the mornin??? to ye. If, like me, ye hae been a-wondrin??? what is up wit all this tomfoolery by Mr. Adaria Maslow Sir??? well, I don???t reckon this adjudication???ll clear yer noggin much.

But Zonotrichia is celebrating like it???s St. Patrick???s Day. He???s painting the map green. Hembria is doing is small part, too. And, as usual, it???s the children who suffer.

There are two retreats. The Trigsporan fleet in Baltic Sea auto-retreats to Gulf of Bothnia. The Itean fleet in Norway may retreat to Barents Sea, North Sea, or Skagerrak or off the board. Please get that retreat to me by tomorrow, Loki.

Then, hopefully before 3:00 p.m. tomorrow, we???ll adjudicate adjustments. Adaria still has a build left over from 1908. Hembria exchanges London for Brest. Itea loses Norway. Trigspor loses Berlin and Trieste, but due to the loss of his army in Berlin, there???s just one disband coming up.

And Zono-T? Let???s do some math??? +Berlin, +Norway, +Trieste, +one stockpiled build = +4. Warren is making good on his early promise to flood the screen in green??? which is only appropriate on March 17th.

Adaria: Supp 10 Unit 9 Build 1
Itea: Supp 1 Unit 2 Remove 1
Hembria: Supp 1 Unit 1 Build 0
Zonotrichia: Supp 15 Unit 11 Build 4
Trigspor: Supp 7 Unit 8 Remove 1

DC 345: Same old, same old - AceRimmer   (Mar 09, 2011, 9:22 am)
Same old, same old... that is, if by ???same old, same old???, you mean that Man is a fickle and treacherous being, the story of whose Genesis is rife with fratricide. In that case, yes, it???s the same old, same old. If by ???same old, same old???, you mean that Dip is a game for bloodthirsty backstabbers. Then, yes, we have a backstabber McJabber.

Point is: no matter how I turn the moves over in my mind, I cannot see how Adaria???s orders and their seizure of Kiel follows in the ongoing narrative of ZAT domination.

My, oh my, how very... Dystopian. I am reminded of the famous quote from "It???s a Wonderful Life":

Every time a Dipper stabs, an angel gets its wings.

Alright, well, I???ll let you all get to the adjudication. The less I chatter, the better. There is but one retreat: A Kiel retreats to Berlin. Mike, you can change that if you like, but I???m guessing you???ll keep it (technically, you have until 9:00 a.m. tomorrow).

Fall 1909 will be next Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. CST (which, I believe, will be 18:00 GMT ??? Daylight Savings Time and all that!)

The Itean fleet in Denmark retreats to Sweden.
This sets up a bevy of adjustments, most of which have already been submitted as final.
Adaria: Supp 10 Unit 7 Build 3
Itea: Supp 2 Unit 3 Remove 1
Hembria: Supp 1 Unit 2 Remove 1
Zonotrichia: Supp 12 Unit 10 Build 2
Trigspor: Supp 9 Unit 8 Build 1
These orders are due tomorrow at the sophomoric time of 3:00 CST (21:00 GMT).
For your edification in the Useless Knowledge department, I assign *Fail*, *Cut*, *Ordered to Move*, etc. flags based on RealPolitik's adjudication. [The one exception that I can think of right now is that I sometimes have to append a *No Such Unit* flag, which is beyond RealPolitik's capabilities].
So... I actually agree with Maslow's contention that the fleet in Spain did not fail in offering support for F WMe-MAt (though I disagree that the support order was 'wholly invalid'... see below)]. The support was fine. The failure, instead, rests with Maslow's fleet in MAt, which failed to get out of the way, thus rendering the Spanish support bootless. In other words, the failure was assigned to the wrong unit but to the right player Smile But back to the contention, the *Fails* flag reflects RealPolitik's peculiar programming, not my own judgment.
To illustrate the non-failure-ness of the Spanish support, let us imagine that two DRE fleets (rest their souls) had attacked MAt this season (F NAf S F Por-MAt); in this imaginary case, the Spanish support would've been essential in preserving Adarian control of the high seas. [And, just for the record, I checked, and RealPolitik would not have assigned a *Fail* flag either... so perhaps the true failure here really lies with DRE for failing to survive until F1908 and provide effective resistance to Maslow?]

Oh, that dashing ZAT! Where will it strike next? Denmark! Itea is driven to its ships and flees the Jutland peninsula, while Adarian warriors arrayed in shining armor disembark to claim their prize of havarti and butter cookies.

The Iteans may flee to Baltic Sea, Helgoland Bight, Skagerrak, Sweden, or OTB.

Meanwhile, the Adarians are in a building mood. Not only do they seize Denmark, but Belgium and Spain are theirs as well. Semper Adaria! Adaria forever! Yay, Adaria!

Looking forward to the Winter, everybody will have activity:

Adaria: Supp 10 Unit 7 Build 3
Itea: Supp 2 Unit 3 Remove 1
Hembria: Supp 1 Unit 2 Remove 1 (not dead yet)
Zonotrichia: Supp 12 Unit 10 Build 2

The end of Hembria, I fear, may arrive in the Fall. Or, it may not. It's all a bit of a guessing game with Adaria in Liverpool and London.

The Holy Roman Empire (Trigspor) cedes Spain to Adaria and is dislodged by Zonotrichia into Munich.

Meanwhile, Zono grabs two world capitals: St. Petersburg and Berlin.

All of which leads to an Itean disband (as A Swe-Fin blocks St. Pete's only retreat).

Speaking of only retreats...
Hembrian F Belgium retreats to Picardy.
Trigsporan A Berlin retreats to Munich.

If either of you wants to retreat off the board, you have 24 hours to inform me. Otherwise, let's have our F1908 orders submitted no later than 3:00 p.m. CST next Tuesday, February 29th... or March 1st.
