Just to note: if the orders for retreat and build seasons reach me with a FINAL status, I will adjudicate before the deadline if I can.

DC460 Puppetmasters Fall 1901 adjudication - Cartesian   (Jul 09, 2013, 4:12 am)
Please note: the .dpy file I sent you yesterday was inexplicably corrupt but has now been rescued and is attached here.
The shading on the maps was wrong as a consequence and I append those here.

The adjudication itself was correct, so no problem there.
If I get all Winter Builds marked 'Final' I shall adjudicate early. Otherwise deadline as stated.

Singular lack of clashes, but France and Germany may be having a bit of a tiff across their DMZs! Austrian Fleet on an Adriatic Cruise...

Grey Press:
Zurich Puppetmasters' Gazette (White Press)
The Spring is upon us, and therefore the ladies are visiting each other looking for the latest gossip. The Kaiser of Austria is said to be having closed doors dinner with the Sultan of Turkey, maybe talking about how they can divide Crimea and the surrounding land.

So just who is my enemy's enemy?

Thanks to you all for sending provisional orders: this gladdens your GM's heart!
Now the clock is ticking and it's just under 27 hours until the deadline.

*** Deadline for Spring 1901: Monday 1st July at 1500 GMT ***

Please let me have your orders and any Press (anonymous or attributed) before then.

If you change your orders please let me have the orders in full, not just the changed parts. I shall take the orders I receive last to be your final orders.

Good luck, Puppetmasters!

I am your GM (or "Master of Puppetmasters"Wink John Langley. My email is cartesian.i(at)gmail.com

I shall be using Realpolitik to adjudicate this game and will be attempting to stick to a schedule of 1 week per major season (Spring and Fall). Deadlines for Spring and Fall will usually be on a Monday at 1500 GMT. We are currently on British Summer Time which is GMT + 1:00. I think this means that Rene is just one hour ahead of me, but the rest of you are as much as 9 hours ahead (Simon) or 5 hours (Jeremiah) behind me.

Given the multiple time-zones I shall quote deadlines as GMT times. The deadline will almost always be 1500 GMT.If in doubt, look here http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/ or ask me!

I hope to adjudicate and send out the results within a few hours of each deadline, and will let you know if there will be a delay.
In case you have not already done so, please have a look at the Default House Rules (attached). I shall be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Nobody has declared any relationship or knowledge of any player outside the game.
Meanwhile: it is time to start your diplomatic processes! If any of you would like to copy me into your emails with each other, that would be great.

Since it is already Friday, and because you will obviously all have plenty to say to each other, the first deadline will be over a week long, which I think is about right for the first one.

*** Deadline for Spring 1901: Monday 1st July at 1500 GMT ***
Please could each of you send me your preliminary orders as soon as possible. This can prevent an NMR in the case of unforeseen computer problems, life-events, temporary forgetfulness etc etc

Please use the recommended format for the Subject line of your email: DC number, versionnumber and correct season. Eg. DC460 Turkey Spring 1901 version 1

One more thing: I like to see Press and will publish any I get as either White or Grey (attributed or anonymous), with the adjudications.
Thank you all for introducing yourselves. I am hoping for a good clean game with plenty of blood-curdling stabs..! Always remember your enemy's enemy may be your friend, but he may also be a liar!

I wish you all a good game!
Your GM

John
