Subject: DC 463, Update Hi gang,

So, some developments.  Archer has had to drop out, but considering the circumstances I am going to seek a replacement player.  There has been a draw, sort of proposed, but not officially if you will.  If I get five e-mails from five players, including Archer at this point, to end the game with a four way draw, then that is what will happen.  Otherwise the game goes on.

The game is currently on hold until a replacement is found.  I'll put out the call to the Light Brigade.

Hi gang,

So, some developments.  Archer has had to drop out, but considering the circumstances I am going to seek a replacement player.  There has been a draw, sort of proposed, but not officially if you will.  If I get five e-mails from five players, including Archer
at this point, to end the game with a four way draw, then that is what will happen.  Otherwise the game goes on.

The game is currently on hold until a replacement is found.  I'll put out the call to the Light Brigade.

Warren

Subject: DC 463, Update Hi gang,

So, some developments.  Archer has had to drop out, but considering the circumstances I am going to seek a replacement player.  There has been a draw, sort of proposed, but not officially if you will.  If I get five e-mails from five players, including Archer at this point, to end the game with a four way draw, then that is what will happen.  Otherwise the game goes on.

The game is currently on hold until a replacement is found.  I'll put out the call to the Light Brigade.

That's a shame as I think you are doing Archer a disservice. If we are playing on then I think Alfred (and Jake's) stated position that they are going to help you win needs to be reconsidered as this will be unfair on the replacement who steps in.

Hi Group,

Mike Hoffman has kindly agreed to take over the Russian position.  I will send maps and stuff later this evening and propose a new deadline for the upcoming turn.  Until then, feel free to start communication and plotting, but note (MIke) that you will have to get the players names and countries from the DC site until I get home.  My work won't even allow me to go to DC.

Hi gang,

So, some developments.  Archer has had to drop out, but considering the circumstances I am going to seek a replacement player.  There has been a draw, sort of proposed, but not officially if you will.  If I get five e-mails from five players, including Archer at this point, to end the game with a four way draw, then that is what will happen.  Otherwise the game goes on.

The game is currently on hold until a replacement is found.  I'll put out the call to the Light Brigade.

Best of luck Archer, sorry your schedule requires you to leave the game.
Warren I have a question, is it too late to appoint someone to take over Russia?   If not perhaps a delay is in order, I can say for my part not being able to get a response from the Russian player has had a huge impact on the game.

Dear all
Unfortunately, it is time for me to say goodbye. Although I wasn't successful, I really enjoyed this game and the interesting correspondences I had with all of you. Hopefully, we will get the chance to meet again in some future game! Also, I want to thank you, Warren, for the excellent job you are doing as the administrator.
Good luck for the rest of the game and best regards

Hello everyone,
I'm sorry to say that I'm going to have to drop out of this game. As you may
have noticed, I haven't been as responsive to your messages as I had when
the game first started. I've simply become too busy recently to be able to
put any thought into the game at all, and while I could stick around to
submit orders every week, that would be a disservice to this game which
thrives on active, involved, and talkative players.
I wish you all the best and have enjoyed playing against you all, and I hope
to see you again across the Diplomacy table in the future.
Warren- since this is so close to the deadline I can give you a set of
orders to move the game forward if you'd like, but be aware that I haven't
been able togive find the time to negotiate with anyone in a number of
weeks.

Best of luck Archer, sorry your schedule requires you to leave the game.
Warren I have a question, is it too late to appoint someone to take over Russia?   If not perhaps a delay is in order, I can say for my part not being able to get a response from the Russian player has had a huge impact on the game.

Hello everyone,

I'm sorry to say that I'm going to have to drop out of this game. As you may have noticed, I haven't been as responsive to your messages as I had when the game first started. I've simply become too busy recently to be able to put any thought into the game at all, and while I could stick around to submit orders every week, that would be a disservice to this game which thrives on active, involved, and talkative players.

I wish you all the best and have enjoyed playing against you all, and I hope to see you again across the Diplomacy table in the future.

Warren- since this is so close to the deadline I can give you a set of orders to move the game forward if you'd like, but be aware that I haven't been able togive find the time to negotiate with anyone in a number of weeks.

Best,
Archer

That's a huge shame- it has been a lot of fun playing with you in this game.
Best wishes and hope to defeat you again in another game Wink

Gentlemen
Sadly, it is time for me to say goodbye. Although I failed miserably at turning Germany into a central European powerhouse, I really enjoyed myself. Thanks to all of you and especially to you, Warren, for doing such a great job at administering the game! Hopefully, we will meet again at some point. Until then, I wish you all the best and good luck for the rest of the game.

Hi gang,

Well, I gave Alfred a couple of extra hours, but no orders yet from Italy.  I can't wait any longer, so we're moving on without him.  Get back to me Alfred, let me know if all is well with you.

Well first order of business, both draw proposals fail. Of course we had an nmr, which you can usually count on to be a vote of no. Regardless, war continues across Europe.

No less than four dislodged units this spring. RETREATS for all of them are due on Thursday, January 30, 18:00.  Most of them only have one option other than to disband, but I'd still like to see an order if you don't mind.

Russian F Denmark can retreat to Helgoland Bight or Baltic Sea or OTB.
German A Munich can retreat to Bohemia or OTB.
Russian A Sweden can retreat to Finland or OTB.
Italian A Vienna can retreat to Galicia or OTB.

Maps are attached, turn is below, check the orders.

Hey everybody,

I think i'm going to have to ask for an extension on this season's deadline, if that's okay with everyone. I've rather suddenly had to find a new place to live, which is a very involved process here in NYC, so I haven't been able to provide anyone with the thoughtful correspondence that they deserve.

I should have it all figured out this weekend - would it be okay to push this spring back to Monday or Tuesday?

Thanks,
