Hi folks,
Unfortunately, we're one set of orders short for Fall 1603 - which opens up a whole ugly mess of delay on us. But more on that in a minute...
Please welcome Thomas Fletcher to our party as the new leader of France. His email addy is listed below, in the player roster. Fletch has been good enough to step into the game and help us play on - at my request, he has submitted Fall orders already...
However, one of our good leaders is leaving tomorrow for a week and a half. It was my hopes to have the Fall turn complete before his departure - but it looks as though we may have to extend. I will wait a few hours for the missing set to filter in, and will be writing tomorrow with either the adjudication, or a rather long extension notification.

There's high adventure in the North Seas as Denmark and England swap centers. Meanwhile our new Frenchman conducts business admirably despite the slight handicap while Sweden takes a hit and the Ottoman Empire gets diced. My thanks to Rob, the Chicken of Bristol, for stepping in and manning that sinking ship.
Two retreats are required, although one is slightly irrelevent. Spain has to relocate the army in Tuscany and the Ottomans need to relocate their unit in Constantinople. We'll space the Autumn and Winter phases out slightly longer, this time around, to accomodate our travelling players schedule. Deadline for Early Winter 1603 retreats will be set for Wednesday, June 11th (11:59 PM GMT).

Yes folks, the Trout is late with this one. I sincerely apologize. Especially so since I am now apparently talking about myself in the third person. =)
Sweden disbands in Hesse and Ingria, Meanwhile, Russia builds a fleet north and a fleet south, and the Habsburgs diversify their portfolio. Our travelling player is now returned, so I'd like to have a quick Spring deadline to see if we can resume pace with the game. Deadline for Spring 1604 orders will be set for Friday, June 20th (11:59 PM GMT) - however if anyone needs more time than that please just let me know.

Apologies about not getting this out last night - ye olde internet connection went down as I was in the middle of adjudicating my evening games. However, as we look at things this morning I find myself STILL two sets of orders short....

Thanks for the patience everyone, as I attempted to gather orders from all players. Unfortunately, word never did come in from Jerry. Happily though, the fearsome Deathblade Penguin (Steve) has volunteered to venture forward and send in some moves in the good Sergeant Todd's stead. This enables us to keep the game moving for the moment until Jerry makes contact again.
And its definitely a turn worth waiting for - some very tumultuous times hit the board with the Fall of 1604. Sweden gets scrunched - but still manages to fend off the worst of it while keeping good humour. Meanwhile, France takes advantage of a rare lapse on the part of the Habsburgs and sneakily takes Venice. (With no order for the army in Illyria submitted, the Austrian sailors stand to but find nothing there to transport...)
Two retreats are required before we move on to Winter adjustments. Deadline for the Early Winter 1604 retreats will be set for Saturday, July 5th (11:59 PM GMT). Also, please note that due to a player absence we will have a slight delay in the game between July 8th and July 25th. The summer doldrums will give us time to brush up on our Shakespeare. =)

Heya folks. Two desperate gambles happen in the north, with the results of one looking grim, the results of the other looking terminal... Meanwhile, the Spanish find their dominance of the Med suddenly threatened as Russia yawns and stretches green wings.
No retreats are required after the smoke clears from Spring, although there is one Swedish disband in Finland. We mourn our losses and move into Fall 1605. Deadline will be set for Monday, July 21 (11:59 PM GMT).

Hiya everyone,
Wow.. I can't quite figure this out. Our travelling player advises me that he'll be back on the 25th - and I wonder why he does not have orders in for a deadline of the 21st...
My bad. I apologize folks. I am missing several sets of Fall 1605 orders - one of which is explained above. It would be hard for our wandering player to get his orders in four days before he is scheduled to return... (A fact that should be WELL appreciated by those other players whose orders I haven't yet received..) =P
Deadline for Fall 1605 will be rescheduled for Saturday, July 26th (11:59 PM GMT). Cheers everyone.

Heya there gents,
Its a crazy set of circumstances we find ourselves in. Our vacationing player returned in the middle of my cross-country drive. I'm happy to report that they have orders in, but I still find us short one set. The player in question has been in touch and I expect the orders imminently.
That being said, we seem to be in a rut of late adjudications here. This last one was my fault, I admit, but I vow that these will cease. A DIAS has been proposed by an extremely frustrated member of our group. The deadline for the DIAS vote will be published with the adjudication, as soon as I can do so. I'd like to say, though, that if the game continues then further late orders will be met with immediate replacements. Its not a line that I like to draw, but i find that I have to here in this case.
PRELIMS are *highly* suggested from all players.
Okay - that's grumpy Trout over and done with. Let me just say that your patience has been *greatly* appreciated, I sincerely apologize for this delay and you have my word that the timeliness of this game will be turned around.

Heya folks,
My most sincere thanks for the patience as we roped in late orders and your humble GM got his act together. It doesn't happen often, but I do admit that I stumble once or twice a summer as my vacation gets onto its gears...
In the meantime, I'd say this turn was worth the wait. The blood is in the water and the sharks aren't holding back, if you know what I mean. Two eliminations to speak of result from the Fall - we say thank you to our English captain, Jerry, for holding down the fort for the Brits. And in the north, the perfect storm hits Sweden and we find ourselves bidding farewell to Mikael...
Four retreats are needed, but the ones from England and Sweden are relatively moot. Deadline for the Early Winter 1605 retreats will be set for Saturday, August 2nd (11:59 PM GMT).
In addition, we have our DIAS proposal to vote on. With our two eliminations, this would be for a Spanish/Danish/A-H/Russian/French draw. Deadline for votes on the DIAS will be with Early Winter retreats - on Saturday.
