DC177 Spring 1903 Results - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
England pulls a crafty move to disband France's fleet but Germany still
storms the North Sea, the middle of the board stays really crowded, and
Austria finds both of his centers occupied, leaving him one season to
find some supplies.

No retreats, so we move directly to Fall 1903, due next Monday, June
2nd, at 9 pm eastern time.

dc177 deadline extension - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
I just realized that I also do not have moves from Russia. The message
below still applies, but note that the Czar has also used his allotted
grace.

Haha, Tsar, don't be angry. This game is full of lies, right? In fact, you also broke your promise to me. So what? it is just part of the game.

It is better for you to get a win, instead of complaining, my dear friend.

I just remembered that our Czar is out of town. So obviously I don't have his
retreats. I will publish them as soon as he returns (which he has said will be
the 18th). As a heads up for all, Winter 02 will be due this Tuesday, May 20,
at 9 pm eastern.

DC177 Game Start - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Hey guys,

So I have now received 7 confirmations and assigned powers (see below), so we are ready to go! First, a couple notes:

Game Number:
Our game number is DC177. ALL emails to me regarding this game MUST have the game number (in the form of DC177) in the subject line. I use this to sort emails and I will very likely miss your email if it does not have this designation. I suggest you use this method for emails between each other as well, but of course that is up to you.

Orders and NMRs:
I suggest you send preliminary orders whenever you have a chance so that you always have a set of orders in to avoid an NMR (no moves received), which results in all your units holding. My NMR policy is that each player starts the game with one 24 hour grace period; a first NMR activates that grace period and extends the deadline for ALL players by 24 hours. After that NMRs result directly in all units holding. N.B.: The grace period only applies for move phases; NMRs on retreat and adjustment phases will be processed immediately as retreats = OTB (off the board), builds due = builds waived, and disbands due = auto-disbands. If you are sure of your orders, go ahead and mark them as FINAL; if I receive orders from all players marked FINAL I will adjudicate immediately, before the deadline. This can be used to speed the game up, though as you'll see I run a fairly fast game to begin with.

Replacements:
If a player NMR's 3 times in a row or 4 times total, the nation will be considered in Civil Disorder immediately, and the player will be removed from the game unless he contacts me ASAP to attempt to resolve the issue. When a player is removed from the game or has to drop out, I will decide (hopefully with your input, though the final decision is mine) whether to leave the power in CD or to seek a replacement. Whenever a replacement player enters the next deadline will be extended to allow that player to acclimate. Hopefully this all will never be an issue...

Deadlines:
All deadlines will be at 9 pm USA eastern time. Time between deadlines will be as follows: movement phases will have 4-5 days, retreats will have 1-2 days, and winter will have 2-3 days. N.B.: Because these deadlines are slightly shorter than what one might call "normal," I am extremely lenient with extensions. All that I require is that you ask for the extension more than 24 hours in advance of the deadline, and it will be granted. Just please don't abuse the privilege.

Game End:
Besides a solo, the game can end in a voted draw. Any time after 1905 (so starting in spring 1906) any draw proposal can be made and will be posted with the next adj, with votes to be submitted the next movement phase. All surviving players have a vote. A proposal will pass with at least one "yes" vote and no "no" votes, with the options being "yes", "no", and abstain.

Ok, that's it for notes; feel free to ask questions about anything and everything, and here's what you've all been waiting for:
