PREV  Spring 1768 Adjudication:  NEXT

Friends,

There is plenty of fight left in our final seven great powers, as the smell of gunpowder wafts into villages from one end of the continent to another. Attempting to read the tea leaves, we may have an Austro-Prussian cooperation to improve the fortunes of those two - to varying degrees - stalling powers. More overtly we see bold Anglo-Swedish cooperation in the Baltic and the always intriguing Spanish-Sicilian cooperation as well. The big question is: are we heading toward entrenched, stalemated positions? Or will someone break away and dominate the continent? Or might we head into a rapid peace treaty that aborts our current antagonisms before a decisive moment is reached? We shall see...

As a reminder, DJ Brasier is running a game of Ambition & Empire on the DP Judge. I encourage you to play in or follow it:

There is only one retreat: Prussian F BAltic Sea can retreat to Mecklenburg or off the board. Chris, I have auto-retreated to Mec. If you desire OTB, just announce it to the list in the next 47ish hours and I will send out new maps.

Prelims due in about 71 hours! Wow, sooo much time to get them in! :-D Oh, and I cannot neglect to mention our first draw proposal: a 4-way France-Prussia-Spain-Sweden draw. Make sure to vote on that with your fall orders. Failure to vote is a NO vote.

Happy hunting!

Dirk
