Easy gents,
It's a game, remember? If you really want to point fingers, almost any solo is the fault of everyone else for not banding together to stop it. Why not add Fredrik to your list for sending lots of units north for the sake of a few Venezuelan centres when the real threat was in the south? Or Venezuela and me for not promising to hold back while Bolivia and Brazil worked together against the Chile-Paraguay alliance while it was still together?
Gary's played a good game and his stab for the solo was well timed. This is a good win.

My apologies - I NEVER meant to imply that this was not a good
win. Gary did an excellent job of playing the players as well as the
game and that's generally how you win. No hard feelings at all.

Easy gents,
It's a game, remember? If you really want to point fingers, almost any solo is the fault of everyone else for not banding together to stop it. Why not add Fredrik to your list for sending lots of units north for the sake of a few Venezuelan centres when the real threat was in the south? Or Venezuela and me for not promising to hold back while Bolivia and Brazil worked together against the Chile-Paraguay alliance while it was still together?
Gary's played a good game and his stab for the solo was well timed. This is a good win.

Oh man. Apparently the trick here is convincing everyone you are named something different. The hardest decision was definitely attacking you, Alan. We were working very well together, and we had finally turned the tide against Brazil.

Great job Greg, I really thought we had a few more years together against Brazil

Easy gents,
It's a game, remember? If you really want to point fingers, almost any solo is the fault of everyone else for not banding together to stop it. Why not add Fredrik to your list for sending lots of units north for the sake of a few Venezuelan centres when the real threat was in the south? Or Venezuela and me for not promising to hold back while Bolivia and Brazil worked together against the Chile-Paraguay alliance while it was still together?
Gary's played a good game and his stab for the solo was well timed. This is a good win.

Bah!
That's right, this game is henceforth to be remembered as Not Now, I've Got To Stab My Brazillian Llama Friend... as Chile makes a move to get his first solo in seven years of play here at diplomaticcorp... Can it be stopped?
Find out next Wed! 3pm Central.

There was one retreat, but Brazilian A Mar could only go to Sam so I just moved it there.

I mean Gregory, obviously. Sorry, I'm in another game with a guy called Gary and got the two names mixed up. Well, they start and end the same, it's just the troublesome middle bit that got me confused.

My apologies - I NEVER meant to imply that this was not a good
win. Gary did an excellent job of playing the players as well as the
game and that's generally how you win. No hard feelings at all.

Easy gents,
It's a game, remember? If you really want to point fingers, almost any solo
is the fault of everyone else for not banding together to stop it. Why not
add Fredrik to your list for sending lots of units north for the sake of a
few Venezuelan centres when the real threat was in the south? Or Venezuela
and me for not promising to hold back while Bolivia and Brazil worked
together against the Chile-Paraguay alliance while it was still together?
Gary's played a good game and his stab for the solo was well timed. This is
a good win.

sounds like an argentine solo to me - once those zombie llamas are on
the march, there's no stopping them...unless someone built the special

Oh, and we have an end-game proposed!
Vote yay/nay with spring orders for a 3-way Colombia/Chile/Brazil draw.
(If passed, Paraguay and Venezuela would get survivals).
From: Michael Sims
Sent: Tue 2/23/2010 4:41 PM
Subject: NNIGTFML w45 builds!
Trudging ahead now with 5 players, we have lots of new units on the board: Brazil able to build 3 after having had 3 of his 4 home centers in enemy hands at some point, and only barely holding on to fourth... Chile raises a pair, and Paraguay becomes the party favorite, lamyata (a pinata that looks like... I'm sure you figured it out. And where the kids - yes, in the red pajamas - go and whack at their mamyata lamyata until it explodes with Paraguan supply centers and everyone grabs)
Brasil:
Build F Salvador
Build A Manaus
Build A Rio de Janeiro
Chile:
Build A Valparaiso
Build A Santiago
Colombia:
Build waived
Paraguay:
Remove A Santa Fe
Remove A Misiones
Remove A Asuncion
NEXT: Spring 1846 is due Monday March 1, 3pm Central / 2100 GMT.
Enjoy!

Paraguay: Remove A Salta
That's it!

Although I didn't see Paraguay in the proposal i figure it must just be a GM typo. I'll vote yes on the draw.

Don't suppose I could threaten to throw the game to the other side if either of you attacks me, could I? I don't think this game would head to a 2 way draw if it continued, I'm just trying to work out whether I'd survive a solo or if there's a chance of edging in as the small one in an unstable three-way...
Hmm. I think I'll put in a provisional vote tonight and decide tomorrow whether or not to let it stand. Feel free to persuade me of the wisdom of voting for the draw, Greg and Fredrik.
