Okay, sorry guys.  Sometimes other things just happen  Smile

Here is spring of 1904.  Once again some interesting developments.
Italy had one retreat from Vienna, but there was one option so I ran it. Alfred if you want it to go OTB instead please let me know! It's now sitting in Bohemia.

Assuming that Alfred wants to keep his army, we are now on to Fall 1904. Due next Monday, December 9, 18:00 MST.

Maps are attached.  Get those prelims in!

GB05 DC473 S02 I MUST SAY NOPE TO THE 2ND SINOPE... - vegas_iwish   (Dec 03, 2013, 5:55 pm)
The move of the army to Che is fine but there is no fleet there. If had just misspelled Sidon I could have worked through that but a move from a specified actual location that is invalid is a nogo. No way to know if intentional misorder or whatever & can't ask everyone when probs pop up so must ask no 1. http://www.diplomaticcorp.com/game_page.php?game_id=dc473

Dc464 Fall 1904 - Zoterik   (Dec 02, 2013, 2:18 am)
My apologies for the delay; sometimes life gets in the way and this time it's women.  Why is it always women or work?

But I really have no idea what's going on here now.  I looked at these orders and figured that England was bowing out of the game.  Well, maybe its his misfortune that he's still kicking!  France does the unthinkable and passes on an open Liverpool; whether that was intentional or otherwise I have no clue.  I received no orders from Italy; Wladimir if you sent them I never saw them.  Two units were dislodged but neither has a retreat so we can skip over Autumn and go straight to Winter, a season which is very good for Germany and Austria, although Turkey and France do get something out of it too.

FALL 1615 - mmedeiros   (Dec 01, 2013, 11:09 pm)
It was inevitable. The Scandinavians were pressing deep into northern Germany, the Netherlands would soon be engulfed. As the hulking Norwegian fleet sailed south, the Dutch would meet their assailants just north of the West Frisian Islands. As one Dutch historian would put to paper in the coming days: "The great galleons would collide, fused in a fury of cannon balls, musket fire, and screaming men. Without the help of her allies, the Dutch Provinces soon fell to the onslaught the northerners, and the supporting Hessian army to the south."
The Scandinavians would not stop there. Supporting the army of Mecklenburg and its advances into Brandenburg, the Austrians were quickly expelled.
In Poland, a once staunch ally of Austria, the Protestant factions take hold of the parliament, setting their army against the Austrians; the Venetians would follow suit.
The Southern Netherlands fall to the French in exchange for Brittany. The French push east taking the Lorraine and overcoming Savoy. However, the Lorraine was a bastion of Protestantism and now rebels against its occupiers. (France will not be able garner influence from the Lorraine, but still entitled to a build.)
The Spaniards take Rome; the King of Spain is now hailed the King and Protector of Rome; the vatican welcomes its Christian occupiers.
The English continue to hold Scotland (its Catholic majority in revolt), and has successfully claimed the Channel.
The Portuguese fleet continues to hold the port city of Corunna in Galicia; this will impact the garnering of influence for the Spanish.

Communique from the Kingdom of Denmark-Norway with its vassal the Kingdom of Sweden: "I am really sorry Austria, it is in the name of Balance."

Austria retreats to Silesia as we open into this Winter of 1615.

Territorial acquisitions:

Powers:
- Brittany, Champagne, Rome, and the Marches to Spain
- Southern Netherlands, Lorraine, and Savoy to France
- Wuertemburg to Austria
- Scotland to England
- Dutch Provinces, Bremen, Brunswick to Scandinavia

Expanding minor states:
- Pressburg to Poland
- Franconia to Bavaria

Entitled builds:

Powers:
- Austria: 4 SCs - 3 units = +1 units
- Spain: 7 SCs - 4 units = +3 units
- France: 7 SCs - 4 units = +3 units
- England: 5 SCs - 3 units = +2 units
- Scandinavia: 7 SCs - 4 units = +3 units

Expanding minors states:
- Poland: 2 SCs - 1 unit = +1 unit (build order to be given by Scandinavia)

Army of the Lorraine and the army of Savoy disbanded.

Do we know when there is likely to be a new standard game starting or taking entrants.
I played a long long time ago around 2003 on diplomacy 2000.
and want to get back into Diplomacy with a standard game. I may find variants a little demanding and would not wish mess up others enjoyment.

Hey gang, I'm getting mail from some of you wondering what's going on.  All is well, I'm just being pulled in a few different directions.  Nobody missed the turn.

Tonight, I promise!

One more needed! - Slangers   (Nov 29, 2013, 6:59 am)
We need one more player for a game of Modern RE005. We were fleetingly at 10 players but suffered a drop out. The remaining 9 are submitting preference lists and a raring to go!

Things to note:
One of the players is my brother. This makes absolutely no difference to the game as in GM mode I am totally unimpeachable, which cannot be said for me in player mode.

Your trusty GM

Yahoo has been driving me nuts with sorting of e-mails removed & saved lists for e-mail going on & off. Had a terrible outbreak (esp for GB04  &  5 for some reason) right off but seemed ok til this wk when the list picked up some strange symbols after it & would not add the 5 names onto the mail. Seems ok again but was pretty sure I saw the 5 names pop up when sent F02. Rome says did not see S02 also but no 1 else. His correct e-mail on the list so unsure as is reliable. If you other 4 didn't have among you some 1 entering his 15th yr of grousing at me you would have a better chance of being believedWink Many have been complaining that long so no id exposure... http://www.diplomaticcorp.com/game_page.php?game_id=dc469
