Farsightedness: The Butterfly Effect states that a butterfly that flaps its wings in Malaysia could cause a typhoon in British Columbia. So too could minor variations in one part of the board affect play across the board. The Captain of Watch asesses the board for all possible impacts - both immediate and long-term.

Hello, GeneralWolf!

I've asked our lord and master to set up a Standard game, so once he (or one of the other moderators) does so, you can join up! I look forward to GMing for another game.

Do we know when there is likely to be a new standard game starting or taking entrants.
I played a long long time ago around 2003 on diplomacy 2000.
and want to get back into Diplomacy with a standard game. I may find variants a little demanding and would not wish mess up others enjoyment.
