Heya gang,
I was kindof hoping that the player in question might be able to still get orders in tonight for Fall 04, but in the absence of those orders we'll extend the deadline for 24 hours. The extension WAS requested prior to the deadline - I was just trying to squeeze the turn out without it.
But a Slaughter post-poned is no less gruesome. We'll adjourn for tonight and revisit the turn tomorrow - Friday Mar 6th (11:59 PM GMT). Any changes to orders can be made over the next 18 hours if you feel so inclined.

Please add 24 hours to that deadline reminder. Fall 04 orders are due on Thursday, March 5th. That gives roughly 42 hours left to submit orders.

Heya folks,
You'll find the Summer 04 map attached, with my apologies for being such a slacker. I had totally forgotten that I didn't get it out to you until a few players reminded me this morning. What can I say? Your GM is a lazy-ass...
Your GM is also a jerk as well. Our friendly Gnome King sent in a retreat order a few hours after I issued the Summer 04 adjudication. I've wrestled with the decision for the last couple days and unfortunately I have decided to let the adjudication stand. While the retreat was received - it was received late and after the adjudication had already been published. I did provide a warning as well as some extra time before running the turn. My humble apologies, but I am sincerely hoping to get this game moving on the published deadlines and will make the effort to do so.
Which brings us neatly to the Fall 04 deadline reminder. Unless an extension is asked for, orders will be due in roughly 18 hours. I am still missing quite a few sets, so please get them on in.
And finally - advance warning that I will be seeking a replacement Hobbit. Our current Baggins, Graham, will soon be launching into an adventure of his own - travelling on an expedition for Shark-Teeth and Yeti-Scalps. This should not affect the Fall turn, but if our Hobbit friend owes you any money then NOW is the time to collect. =)

Gents and Ladies of StoryTime,
Here's the long and short of it. Our friendly Ogre managed to get orders in after some consultation with your humble GM concerning the map and the unit positions. However there remained no word from the Centaurs. So its judgement time for yours truly, and although I typically run non-NMR games I feel that in the interest of keeping the game moving that I will make an exception here.
Well, there's also the fact that the Centaur position has one center and is in some dire straits... =)
So we have at it! Due to the delay, I'll skip the usual colour and simply get to the meat of the turn. Two retreats are required - one from the Gnomes and the second from the Samurai. Deadline for Summer 04 orders will be set for Friday, February 27th (11:59 PM GMT).

Folks,
I'm troubled to say that I'm still missing three sets of orders. One player has gotten in touch citing laptop issues, but the time he asked for to resolve them has now elapsed...
SO: We are now officially on a grace period for the Ogres, the Centaurs and the Barbarians. Orders that have been received up to this point are locked in place. We'll extend a further 12 hours till 8 AM tomorrow morning my time (3:00 PM GMT). If orders are still not forthcoming, I will seek out a replacement for the Ogres, and consider all options for the Centaur and Barbarian positions.
Just to keep you all in the loop. Apologies for the continued delay.

Okay - here is the dilemma going into the Winter turn...
One of our number
is involved in a forced and unexpected move across country.
While they were
going to try to be in email contact, they let me know that
it was a chance
that this wouldn't be possible. Obviously this is the
case seeing as how I
don't have orders for Winter.
So I realize we've already delayed a couple days but
I'd like to ask all of
your guys' patience while we give just a little more
time for our travelling
warrior to get settled. With everyone's forgiveness,
I'll reset the Winter
deadline to Monday, Feb 16th (11:59 PM GMT).

Hi folks,
Apologies for the late adjudication. Your humble GM was caught unexpectedly away from house and computer for the last several days.
In any event, three of the retreating units are yanked from play this turn while Slightly Gulch and Grimpen Ward provide safe harbour to the remaining two.
I've received several sets of Winter adjustments in, but far from enough where I'd feel comfortable giving a short deadline... Therefore we'll set Winter 03 due for Tuesday, February 10th (11:59 PM GMT).

The Ogres do finally find their way into Devil's Canyon, though not without facing opposition first. Meanwhile a little friction forms in the central waters and in the north, the Centaurs keep on feeling the heat from all quarters.
Five retreats are needed before we head on into the Winter adjustments. One each from the Centaurs, Samurai, Knights, Gnomes and Fairies. Deadline for Early Winter 03 retreats will be set for Thursday, February 5th (11:59 PM GMT).
Also of note is that we suffer our second casualty of the game. My thanks to Matt Kelly for making a valiant and memorable stand in this one. The Great Ju-Ju failed you in this one, Matt... But maybe in the next one. =)

Yes! I DID say Golgafrincham... Because thats where the Dwarves fall back too while ensuring that they add a second address line to all of their stationary. Meanwhile the other retreats of the day include Marshes of Morva, Way The Heck Out There and Fitzgibbon.

Now granted, it ain't over till its over - but for some it truly seems as though the fat lady is practicing her arpeggios. =P
The Spring action is, well, dizzying. Thats what I love about this map - you never really know from which direction the next danger will arrive. Coloring the results were a couple of misorders - my apologies but after scratching my head for twenty minutes I could not for the life of me figure out where 'TWF' was supposed to be...
