Well, an interesting situation has arisen. Hugh (Blue) has failed to
submit a retreat for F Aquatic Sea by the deadline, so that unit is
disbanded. However, this means that Blue is entitled to a build, so the
winter season that otherwise would not have happened now will. Hugh,
please get that build to me ASAP, but at the very latest by Friday at 9
eastern.

Well despite the fact that it's the fall, everyone seems to use the turn
for positioning only. Black protects his fleet line while advancing his
armies, Red pulls back a fleet and shuffles his armies, Blue covers
Cobalt but loses Aqu to Yellow, who also pulls back on land and advances
on water. If that was too ambiguous for you, well just look at the map.
We have one retreat: Blue F Aqu can retreat to Ind, Sap, or Cer. As
soon as I received the retreat from Hugh I will publish it and, since,
amazingly, we have no adjustments, Spring 1907 will directly follow this
Friday, July 24, at 9 pm eastern.

This season is devoted mostly to positioning, as Dark enters Snow after
Red vacates it for the Sea of Cherries. Red also gets into the act a
bit in the south my heading to Cold and bouncing with Yellow in
Sunshine. And in the southern seas Blue orders perfectly so as to deny
Yellow any progress at all.
We have no retreats, so we move directly to Fall 1906, which will be due
this coming Monday, July 20, at 9 pm eastern.

As expected, we say goodbye to Light as Dark assimilates his final
center. Thanks to Ross for stepping in and fighting it out until the
end. In other news, Yellow as expected sails into Magenta, finally
gaining that elusive 5th center. And, consequently, Blue is knocked
down to his three home centers and looks to have an uphill battle ahead
of him. In the north, Red and Dark jockey for position as Red marches
into Ink and sails into Snow, but loses the Sea of Ice to Dark. Also of
note is that Yellow made the first attempt in a while to take the
Crystal from Red, but the attack was successfully repelled.
There is only one retreat (Red F Sea of Ice may retreat to Garnet, Sea
of Cherries, or OTB), so we will have that retreat and adjustments all
due this Friday, July 10, at 9 pm eastern. As usual I will adjudicate
as soon as I have orders from everybody. And yes, I mean everybody, as
in addition to Red's retreat Dark and Yellow each have a build (and Red
could have a build if he disbands his fleet) and Blue has a disband.
Also, as 1905 has come to a close, just a reminder that, by my house
rules, I will now accept end game proposals, to be posted for vote with
the following adjudication, with votes due the following adjudication.

My apologies for the delayed adjudication; I meant to run it Friday
night and simply forgot, and then could not do it yesterday because of
the holiday. Some interesting things develop on the board, most notably
that Light has been forcefully removed from his final holdout in Ivory.
However, while Dark focussed on this he lost some ground to Red, who
stormed into the Sea of Ice and Paper. In the south we finally have a
breakthrough; Blue takes the Forest Sea, but in the process Yellow
sneaks into the Aquatic Sea, meaning we will probably see a center
change hands for the first time in that battle.
We have three retreats: Light A Ivory may retreat to Snow, or OTB, Dark
A Paper may retreat to Chalk, Jet, or OTB, and Yellow F Forest Sea may
retreat to Cyan, Malachite, or OTB. Let's try to have these retreats by
tomorrow night, Monday, July 6, at 9 pm eastern. I have received one
order already as a conditional; I will adjudicate as soon as I receive
the other two.

After a very short friendship Dark turns on Light again, this time
stealing into Alabaster, knocking Light down to the one center in
Chalk. Red makes progress in the sea, finally entering Sea of Cherries,
but has less luck on land where a complicated bounce with Dark leads to
his A Saf being disbanded by a Yellow attack. Blue departs from his
nothing-but-supports strategy a bit, sending an army to Cold.
There are no retreats, so we move directly to Winter 1904. Red and Dark
each have a build while Light owes a disband. These will be due this
Monday, June 29, but as usual if I receive orders from all three players
before then I will adjudicate early and keep this game moving.

So Blue takes advantage of his grace to get a full set of support orders
in and continue to hold of the Yellow navy. In the north Dark teams
with his former enemy white to cause a standoff with Red in the Sea of
Cherries while all three northern powers also do some positioning, so
the Fall should bring about some action!
There are no retreats so we move directly to Fall 1904, which will be
due this Thursday, June 25, at 9 pm eastern. Please send prelims now to
avoid an NMR!

Light returns after his NMR and manages to keep his two units due to
what seems to be a breakdown in the Red / Dark alliance, as Dark
dislodges Red from the Sea of Ice while Red returns the favor by
claiming Ghost for himself. In the south things seem to have reached a
bit of a stalemate as a full set of Blue supports prevents Yellow from
gaining any ground.
We only have one retreat: Red F Ice can retreat to Gar, Che, or OTB.
That retreat and the Winter builds (Red and Dark each have 1, or Red has
two if Ice goes OTB) will all be due on Wednesday at 9 eastern.
However, since I only need to hear from two players hopefully I will get
both sets early and will be able to adjudicate early; if I get them
relatively early tomorrow we can have Spring 1904 on Friday!
