Pythagorean Septem - s01 results! - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Only one bounce to speak of, a clash over the Prian Rhium... Beotians
claim the mighty Sinus Corinthiucus, the Laconians stake out a couple
builds in Teg and Cyn, but the Spartans seem just a bit worried looking
over the fence. Five units surround the center two dots -- who's going
to draw the short straws? And in the east... The Atticans begin their
journey across the Aegean... where will they take shore?

Find out these... and all your other burning questions - in one week!

DC 153 Fall 1904 Results - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
We have our first elimination, as Turkey, England, and Austria have
combined to vote Russia off the continent! Thanks to our Czar Shawn for
a well played game; an early assaulted Russia is a tough boat to stop
from sinking. Elsewhere, the final neutral is finally claimed as the
Germans cement their rule in Holland, the Italians assimilate Spain yet
leave Portugal under French rule, and a large battle for the
Mid-Atlantic is won by the Italians thanks to support from the French.

Shawn, I normally remove eliminated players from the email list for a
given game; let me know if you want to be kept on. Note that either way
you will receive the final end of game adjudication when the game ends.

The only retreat is the French army from Ruh, and it's only available to
retreat is Bur, so I have auto-retreated it. Paul, if you wish to
disband it instead you can do so in the winter since you are due a
disband anyways.

Winter 1904 is due on Friday at 9 pm eastern. Adjustments due are
listed at the bottom of the adjudication. Remember no grace periods on
adjustments!

Lastly, I will be out of town next week and it is very unlikely I will
have any internet access at all. So just as a heads up, I will send out
the Winter results on Friday night or Saturday morning, and the next
deadline will not be until Monday the 17th.

Possible to join a second round game? - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Hi - I'm new to this site but have played the game before.
I like the tournament's quicker pace, and the round 2 games would fit into my schedule quite well.
If someone drops out after round 1, I'd be happy to step in for a round 2 game.
Please let me know if this is a possibility.

That's right, A-squared plus B-squared usually equals C-squared, except when the Messenians pillage the Elian homelands! Then A-squared plus B-squared is a blood bath, while C-squared thru G-squared prepare for the worst as the knives come out early this game...

Now, now, now.....

Lets not get ahead of ourselves here. The Messenians are no more pillaging Elian lands, than those deceitful Elians are burning our homes! He tipped his hand, and so my people made a correct defensive adjustment to our plans. Net gain zero. Maybe he will reconsider his adventures now.

PS - f01 results! A-squared + B-squared - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Close, but not quite. The peaceful Elians heard through their excellent
information network that the Messenians were planning an outrageous surprise
attack, contrary to all the rules of law. Only after recieving that
information did they regretfully decide that a counter action was required.
Mike of course can't release when the change in orders came through, but if
he could he would be able to confirm the point.

hey, ive been gettin mail chains from the cat23 forum about the slow fading away of that dip group. How sad- its the group i started with so long ago- 12 years i think (but then my memory isnt what it was so it could be more or less) and provided some fantastic games that have stayed with me to this day.
Anyway the point is there is talk from a hardy band of dedicated dippers on how to rejuvenate cat23 including a website. Now what better example than the excellent site here.
Keep up the good work guys

Turkey's orders were lost in a shuffle and miss filed. To help clarify this please ensure all your emails with orders have the following information - what game they are for, what country they are for, and what year they are for. This makes adjudicating far easier and also means your email is less likely to end up in spam.
