DC141 Seven Sinners - Spring 1905 Results - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Max,

Due to life pressures, Alex has had to step away from the game. He announced this last night - but I'm not sure if you were on his email distribution list. (He also changed the deadline to Friday which I *know* he didn't let you know about.)

I will be coming in as the temp GM. Tremble, ye players, for the wrath of Trout is about to descend. =P

Subject: DC141 Seven Sinners - Spring 1905 Results

Heya all,

We find ourselves rolling once more. Germany powers back into Kiel and France slips into Rome. No retreats are required after the Spring moves so we'll flow right into the Fall turn. Deadline for Fall 05 orders will be set for Wednesday, Apr 2nd (11:59 PM GMT).

Please just let me know if you spot any errors in the adjudication. Also, please continue to CC me in on orders submitted to Alex. I will continue to act as your humble GM's safety net while Real Life continues to keep him from whats really important. =P

Cheers!

Whatever the case, if the last year has taught me anything it is that it never hurts to delay just a few hours to seek clarification. (Lesson learnt the hard-way.) I have given the missing player notice that orders are due by 11:59 AM GMT, or approximately 8 hours from now.

Cheers everyone. We'll get this game firing on all seven cylinders yet. =P

Truly sorry about this. Turns out I already had the missing adjustments but had mis-filed them in a different game-folder. My bad - the slight delay is on my shoulders...

Winter adjudication is below. England builds a pair of armies, Turkey a pair of fleets. Russia pots a pair of boots in Moscow and Germany removes in Helgoland. And with Italy non-responsive, I took the liberty and removed his non-SC unit in the Tyrrhenian Sea.

Have not heard from the possible replacement players as of yet, but I will let everyone know ASAP what the situation there is. (They are blind-CC'd on this adjudication.)

Spring 1905 orders will be set for Wednesday, March 26th (11:59 PM GMT). Please send your orders to Alex, but copy me in on them in case he is still busy and cannot adjudicate.

Hi folks,

Apologies for being quiet over the weekend. Our replacement Arch-Duke is Max Victory. You can get in touch with him at (maxatrest AT yahoo DOT co DOT uk). My thanks to our brave sacrifical lamb for joining up for the Spring slaughter. =P

Secondly, just a note. Somehow our friend Bill Taylor got caught up in the group emails for this game. PLEASE do not include him in any further mass transmissions as he has requested to be removed from all game communication.

Thanks everyone. Hope you all had a great holiday weekend.

greetings.
Sadly the Arch Duke has passed away peacefully in his sleep-the coroner concluded the Duke fell asleep having eaten half of a large pork belly roast-unfortunately leaving a large knife protruding from said meat......Dr said he rolled over whilst dreaming and death was instant..
So, those loyal to the x duke have handed in their weapons and are heading home, leaving 2 Mercenary armies seeking an employer-we require only bread water and to exist until our employers enemies are put to the sword....ball or any other death required.
Replies by return with movement requests!

Hi guys,

Well, we're still short one set of adjustments. I've notified the player directly and have advised him that I will be adjudicating this evening with the builds or without. Thanks for hanging in there everyone.

On another note, I have had two people step up to fill in for the Austrian position. Alex mentioned that maybe CD would be a better fit - but then he flipped the game to recruiting. He unfortunately has no house rules at this point that govern how to handle the situation.

In the theory that a live replacement player is LESS disruptive to the game than throwing the position to CD, and since finding replacements was obviously on Alex's mind when he flipped the game to recruiting, I've decided to ask the two players in question to take up the positions. I will announce the updated player roster with this evening's adjudication.

Note that some of you will disagree with the above decision. There is no GOOD resolution to two players abandoning the game. Since we have two people willing to step in, however, I truly think the fairest thing for ALL players is to take them up on that offer.

Cheers!

Trout

Hi guys,

Thanks for hanging in there everyone during this slight period of turbulence. Unfortunately, I'm a couple sets of adjustments short of being able to get the turn out. Due to the chaotic nature of things right now, I feel its only appropriate to extend for 24 hours in hopes of gathering the stray sets in.

Winter orders are now due Wednesday, March 19th (11:59 PM GMT). Or, in other words, in 20 hours.

The Western powers hit the wall in Germany - the bricks provided by the Kaiser, the morter by the Tsar. Meanwhile, Turkey props up the Italian down south while dancing with France on the emerald power's peninsula.

One retreat required for the Summer, from Russia in Constantinople as the Sultan takes back Byzantium. Deadline for the Summer 1906 retreat will be set for Monday, Apr 21st (11:59 PM GMT).

One note - I will be placing Italy into Civil Disorder in the event of one more NMR. You've been warned Benjy. =)

DC141 Seven Sinners - Spring 1908 - Other People - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
We bid a fond farewell to our Italian Supremo this turn as France finally succeeds in moving into Tunis, disbanding the sole remaining Italian unit. My great thanks to Benjy for his untiring efforts in playing this one out to the very end. See you in the next game, bro. =)

In other news, a slight slip on England's part allows Russia into Sweden and Turkey guns their way into Tuscany. No retreats are required other than the Italian disband, so we move straight forward into Fall 1908. Deadline will be set for Thursday, May 29th (11:59 PM GMT).

Please let me know if you spot any errors. Cheers gang!

DC141 Seven Sinners - Fall 1907 - Closing Time - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
The central powers get some payback as Germany muscles back into Kiel - with some Russian assistance. The English unit there is disbanded, but other than that no retreats are needed from Fall 07. Please let me know if you spot any errors - but barring that we cruise right into Winter 1907.

Adjustments will be due Saturday, May 17th (11:59 PM GMT). Cheers!

The Italians in exile dream big - you can't deny it. An ambitious attack on Ediburgh is ordered by the Tunisian Tigers. Now if only they had a navy they might be getting somewhere.. =)

Actually there is only minor changes in the board after the Spring. Turkey manuevers into the Adriatic and England into Denmark. With no retreats we move directly into the Fall 1907 turn - deadline will be set for Thursday, May 15th (11:59 PM GMT).

Please let me know if you spot any errors. Cheers guys!
