Yes folks after 15-1/2 hard fought years of Invitational goodness, we finally have...

...To carry on!

DIAS is voted down, again.  And the mood among the Norwegian Ladies, well, is it just PMS?  Or maybe the exceedingly high proportion of centers occupied by opposing units this summer...  Russia and Turkey make a land-grab, flexing their little-power muscle into Saint Pete, Sev, Bud, Rom, and even Spain, and forcing the Norwegians in Bohemia OTB.  The French fall back to Belgium, taking some lumps of their own - losing their army in Silesia, and every first born into Turkish slavery.  This is certainly going down as an unbelievable rags-to-riches, game...

What next?

Well, one easy retreat:
French F Rome can go to Tus, Apu, or OTB by tomorrow 3pm Central!

Subject: DCI s16 - Could it be?!

France:
F English Channel Supports A Holland - Belgium
F Gulf of Lyon - Western Mediterranean
A Holland - Belgium

DCI w15 builds - FuzzyLogic   (May 03, 2010, 8:37 am)
France retreats War to Sil, then we have 3 new armies.  Moscow for Russia, and Smy/Con for Turkey.
NEXT:  Spring 16 - Due Friday 5/7, 3pm Central!

Dont forget the DIAS vote.
(which would score a Draw for the 4 remaining players, and crown Jorge the DCI 2009 champ).

Voting is like always - Turn in orders AND votes.  If the draw prop fails orders will be resolved.  But if the draw passes, then orders are not revealed.

Enjoy,
-mike

DCI w11 builds! - FuzzyLogic   (Mar 02, 2010, 12:26 pm)
Hey all,

I've got a full slate of builds so I'll send them out now...
early in fact. And so, with a bow...
Fleets are the unit of choice for our builders
And tho you may wonder just who this bewilders
I should tell you up front that it be no suprise
put a new fleet in Brest, to light up French skies
And our Turkish delight, first build in five years
a new fleet in Smyrna, sweet music he hears
But our other two players who got to build not
came difficult choices of which guy gets shot
A choice of all choices that none wish to make
For buildery-prone players from whom others did take
So taking their build-nots and disbanding mania
The orangey-brown pull the army Albania
Along with that army to the far depts of hades
The army in Warsaw is nixed by the ladies.
So now let's move on! With high hopes and good faith
For spring of year twelve is due Monday the eighth.

Hmm.
Yeah.
Sorry 'bout that.

-mike

3pm central, usual time.
Don't forget there's a DIAS with spring, vote yay / nay with spring orders.

DCI f11 results! (correct) - FuzzyLogic   (Mar 01, 2010, 3:36 pm)
A few French orders were wrong (the map and .dpy were right - just the orders in the ORDERS section were listed incorrectly). Fixed below,

-mike

Things get scary for Austria as he barely escapes elimination by the good graces of the French (now when do you ever hear that?) And everywhere else things really heat up! Turkey matches his game high of 4 supply centers for the first time since 1905, Russia maintains his 3, and France muscles into Kiel due to a bit of confusion on the part of the Nowegian ladies...

There are 2 retreats, both Norwegian, and both with only one choice so I'll just move them. Jorge if you prefer you could take both OTB and build +1 instead.

And we have a DIAS proposal for next Spring.

BUILDS due tomorrow (March 2) 3pm Central!

Austria: Remove 1
France: Build 1
Turkey: Build 1
Norway: Remove 1 (or 0, or Build 1 pending retreat)

RETREATS:

Norway:
A Kiel - Denmark
F London - Yorkshire

ORDERS:

No surprises here, the big baddies ramp up the navies...

We do have a 2-way FN draw proposal to vote on with spring orders. To pass, it would require 5 yes votes. Joe with the most SC (14) would take the DCI.

France: (14)
Build F Marseilles
Build F Brest
Build A Paris

Norway: (12)
Build F Denmark
Build F Norway

Everyone else has (3)

NEXT: Spring 11 due Wednesday 2/24, 3pm Central!
Enjoy,
