DC191 Study In Baltic - Spring 1910 - The Norwood... - former.trout   (Nov 20, 2008, 11:31 am)
All is abounce this turn, though not from lack of effort. Action is seen on all fronts but by deft moves from all parties any actual unit relocation is stymied. With the ammunition expended, the lines remain as they were...

The proposed DIAS goes down in flames though. To counter, a 2-way Swedesh/Finnish draw has been proposed. I'll ask for your votes with the Fall 1910 orders - deadline being set for Tuesday, November 25th (11:59 PM GMT).

Cheers all!

Heya folks.

The house remains empty in Danzig. Poland opts instead to retreat to Ron. And just like that, we move on into Spring 1910. A DIAS proposal has been put forward for your consideration, and your yay or nay vote for this will be due with Spring orders on Wednesday, November 19th (11:59 PM GMT).

Heh... Hell of a night. Go Obama! =)

Sorry - my political stripes are showing. Big change in the States tonight, but not so big a change on our Baltic board. The Spring map looks very much as the Winter 08 map did...

By the way - I made a GM error a couple of turns ago and forgot to table an end-game proposal that Mike had made. Public apology time - sorry about that folks. It was totally my error.

No retreats are required from the Spring moves. We battle onwards into Fall 1909 - deadline will be set for Monday, November 10th (11:59 PM GMT).

DC191 Baltic - Winter 1908 - The Greek Interpreter - former.trout   (Oct 27, 2008, 8:53 am)
Hi folks,

It was a Fleet in Stockholm and a Fleet Danzig that were ordered for builds. But a slight problem arose when I did the adjudication - once again RP flaked on me and gave the incorrect number of units for Poland. As a result, Poland actually earned two builds last turn and not just the one which I had announced.

The only remaining build possibility for Poland, however, was an army in Warsaw. Since I erred in announcing the adjustment counts I took the liberty and placed a Polish army there. Lee, if this is not what you want - or if anyone has a real strenuous problem with this decision - please let me know and we will revisit the situation.

If this is alright with everyone, however, we'll move onward into Spring 1909. Deadline for orders will be set for Saturday, November 1st (11:59 PM GMT).

Cheers all!

Ah... Our poor neglected heroes Holmes and Watson. With apologies once again, I find myself late in issuing the adjudication and need to get it out without the continuation of our storyline. If time permits tomorrow, I will put pen to paper and issue a minor update.

But game-wise, we see Finland continue to power into southern waters with Swedish assistance. This time it is the Polish fleet in the Mid Baltic that falls prey to the northern duo. With no retreat possible, that fleet is disbanded and we find ourselves in need of one build each from Sweden and Poland. Deadline for Winter 1908 adjustments will be set for Saturday, October 25th (11:59 PM GMT).

Please let me know if you spot any errors, all. Cheers!

DC-191 Study In Baltic - Spring 1908 - The Riga Sq... - former.trout   (Oct 17, 2008, 10:17 am)
Heya guys,

In the interest of getting the turn out, we'll delay the continuation of Holmes and Watsons adventures in Finland. (Hey - suspense makes it all the more intriguing.) Meanwhile, instead I'll tell you a story of a brave Russian force that winds up under heavy fire and is annihilated in Riga. Some change-ups in Naval positioning and the opening of West Dvina otherwise colour the board.

My thanks to everyone for bearing with me during this last week. Technical difficulties drive me crazy and I sincerely apologize for the delay that resulted from them. But moving forward, no retreats are required and the Fall 1908 deadline will be set for Wednesday, October 22nd (11:59 PM GMT).

Baltic Cheers!

DC191 - 48 Hour Extension - former.trout   (Oct 13, 2008, 6:08 pm)
Heya folks,

Looks as though I'm not the only fish in the pond that's having internet troubles. I've had an extension request for DC-191 to allow for repair and refitting for one of our players. Since I'm kindof in the same boat, I'm all too grant the request.

Deadline for orders will be reset to Wednesday, October 15th (11:59 PM GMT). Thanks everyone!

Heya fellow Baltic-heads....

Just sending a quick reminder that the deadline for Spring 1908 is in roughly 11 hours. Sorry for the late reminder - my internet router at home got fried by a power surge last night.

Cheers,

Heya guys,

Just figured I'd send out a quick adjudication here for the Winter... Poland builds a fleet in Strusland and we continue on with the battle. The proposed 3-way draw meets defeat. Spring 1908 deadline will be set for Monday, October 13th (11:59 PM GMT).

Cheers folks!

DC191 - Winter 1907 Deadline Extension - former.trout   (Oct 05, 2008, 11:17 pm)
Heya folks,

Sorry for the late adjudication - but with all things said and done I believe we will be extending the Winter 07 deadline to Monday, October 6th (11:59 PM GMT) - i.e. another 20 hours... Why? Because I only have 1 out of 4 votes for the proposed Swedish/Finnish/Polish draw.

So please, take the opportunity to let me hear you holler. Thanks guys!
