Folks,
Thanks to all of you for getting your prefs in nice and early. We're ready to go now - assignments and deadline are below, and a reference map of starting positions is attached. If anyone would like a copy of the RealPolitik variant folder, I would be perfectly happy to zip it up and shoot it out. Just let me know.
Please remember that this is a play-balance test. I don't know if this map will be completely eight-player balanced in the absence of all the special rules (money, garrisons, natural disasters, etc.) that are part of the box set game. As such, if you find yourself in a position that seems imbalanced, let me know. I'll take notes and make that part of my overall player assessment (which I'll solicit for again once the game is over.)
Without further ado, let's get this game rolling!

Players:

Austria: Aidan Slattery <AiSlattery(at)aol.com>
France: Mark Utterbach <MDemagogue(at)gmail.com>
Florence: Joe Babinsack <chaosonejoe(at)yahoo.com>
Milan: Nick Cherrier <zeclient(at)hotmail.com>
Naples: Nathan Deily <ndeily(at)yahoo.com>
Papacy: Kevin Burt <Brutus(at)wbhsi.net>
Turkey: Max Victory <maxatrest(at)yahoo.co.uk>
Venice: Garry Bledsoe <kielmarch(at)hotmail.com>

Deadline:

Spring 1454 is due Tuesday, 1 September at 2pm EDT (6pm GMT.)

Thanks once again for joining!

Diplomacy games may contain lying, stabbing, or deliberately deceiving communications that may not be suitable for and may pose a hazard to young children, gullible adults, and small farm animals.
