Farsightedness: The Butterfly Effect states that a butterfly that flaps its wings in Malaysia could cause a typhoon in British Columbia. So too could minor variations in one part of the board affect play across the board. The Captain of Watch asesses the board for all possible impacts - both immediate and long-term.

I just got word that Austria has withdrawn from the game.

What is your pleasure...

1) continue the game without an Austrian player??

2) pause the game and find a replacement

Probably our best choice is to continue the game without an Austrian player, but it is your call.

I have not looked at the orders yet, so I don't know what the outcome of this season's moves would be on Austria.

Please let me know ASAP, but preferably before 9:00pm MST today.
