Familiarity: The medieval Herald was required to possess intimate knowledge of a dizzying array of names, ranks and crest. So too must the succesful diplomat be familiar with the board layout as well as the various strategies for each power. A handle on the protocols and the structures of the game rules is crucial for success.

Hello all!
I am flying into Chicago on Thursday morning for my NINTH World Diplomacy Championship.  WOW.  I am so much looking forward to it, I can't tell you.
But I would love to meet any of y'all who are going to be there!  Who is going?

Diplomacy games may contain lying, stabbing, or deliberately deceiving communications that may not be suitable for and may pose a hazard to young children, gullible adults, and small farm animals.
