Hi all,
As I feared, the Japanese emissaries were merely confused by the idea of a weekend and found their way in very early this morning. Thanks to all of you for your patience, because the bloodshed and chaos of our Imperial game continues.
There were two retreats required after the Spring moves - the Mexican army in Panama and the Dutch fleet in Bismark. On top of that, however, we had a few automatic disbands. The French and the Japanese both had two fleets vanish from the board, and the Japanese also had an army vanish in the confusion of Shanghai. Deadline for Summer 1868 retreats will be set for Wednesday, January 30th (11:59 PM GMT).
