We have our first elimination, as Austria's last army is disbanded by
Italian forces in Serbia. Elsewhere, France holds his line against
Germany, who loses Denmark to Russia. Russian forces also nab Ankara
and Budapest for a three build year.
Only Italy and Russia have builds (and nobody has removals). I'll set
the deadline for two days from now, Wednesday, January 14, at 9 pm, but
I'll send the adjustments as soon as I receive them from both players.

I have had requests on both sides of the table - to leave France in CD
for the sake of time and to replace him for the sake of fairness. So
I'm going to do something in the middle: I am going to post for a
replacement on the DC site, but only until the end of this week (Friday
the 2nd). If no one has accepted the position Friday at 9 eastern I
will put France in CD and immediately adjudicate with the orders I
have. I have orders from all 6 other nations; you can update them until
the 2nd. Obviously if we get a new France then the deadline will have
to be extended more, but I will try to keep the game moving as much as
possible.

Note that I have not included France; this is because our President,
Alvin, has said that he needs to withdraw from the game. I think it
would be difficult to find a replacement for this position so I am
placing France in civil disorder (CD), meaning all his units will hold
and disband if dislodged. If anyone has a serious objection to this
ruling and very much would rather I attempt to seek a replacement let me
know ASAP.

As some of you may know, I'm currently transitioning from active duty US Army to the Reserves, and moving from my current station in Germany to our new home in Dallas, Texas. I may lose internet access intermittently during that time, depending upon availability of places I can log on. My service at home ends tomorrow, and I will be moving out within the week. I do not need to do so yet, but I may need to ask for a deadline extension until I get settled in Texas, which should be second week of January or so. Thanks for your patience -
Trout - this may also affect my ability to start the January DC tournament and the dwprep demo game on time, but I will do all I can to avoid that. You'll notice that means I'm playing in 3 DC games and 0 ACD ones at the moment - looks like you might make a convert out of me yet

The fall ushers German units further west in France and England, while
Italy changes his SC count for the first time since 1901. Russia storms
the Black Sea but can't hold on to Budapest as Austria continues to
fight off the hordes.
Our only two retreats (France's A Gas and Russia's A Bud) each only had
one option (Spa and Gal, respectively), so those have been ordered in
the name of speed. Let me know if either of you want it OTB.

Sorry for the delay - my games club meeting ran really long last night
thanks to too many rounds of "Race for the Galaxy." Also it turns out
that England sent his orders with his retreat from the Autumn and I just
missed them, so he retains his grace.
On the map, England manages to keep team RG out of Edi, Germany pushes
further into France, and some shifting in the Balkans leaves Austria
with only one home center and Turkey with only his home centers.
The only retreat is for Austria's A Alb and it only has one option, Gre,
which I have ordered. Brian just let me know if you want it OTB. This
pushes us to Fall 1904, which I will set for this coming Monday,
December 15, at 9 pm eastern.

The Kaiser backs his army back to Ruh and then raises two more while
Russian factories in Moscow are also at work. England's distant
Mediterranean fleet loses communication with the homeland and sinks, and
France, due to an NMR, loses its fleet in the channel.
The deadline for Spring 1904 will be this coming Monday, December 8, at
9 pm eastern. If I get a full set of orders marked final I will
adjudicate early, so mark them final if they are!

A further extension has been requested until Wednesday. With
Thanksgiving approaching (and therefore the fact that I wouldn't set any
deadlines until next week anyways) I have agreed to grant it. HOWEVER,
due to the holiday I am making this (Wednesday at 9 pm eastern) a HARD
DEADLINE, meaning if you don't send orders, you will NMR; I will not
activate grace periods for this one even if you haven't used yours
(which none of you have). That said I already have orders from 4 of you
- I will send the official reminder email tomorrow night.

Germany completely storms France, Russia pushes all the way to NAO, and
our only dislodged unit, Turkey's A Gre, is disbanded, so we have no
retreats!
Due to Italy's absence our next deadline will be a bit delayed: Fall
1903 will be Monday, November 24, at 9 pm eastern.

Turkey drew my attention to the fact that I was not particularly
explicit that I wanted the builds and retreats together and said that he
was waiting for the retreat results to send his build. Since I also
note that I never told you guys in advance that this was a possibility,
I'm going to give him a pass and process his build. So Turkey builds A
Smy. The new map is attached.
I'll push back the next deadline for a day because of this (and since
we've got the time anyways), so Spring 1903 is due next Friday, November
14, at 9 pm eastern.

I don't understand.
The deadline was for retreat not for build.
I haven't read enough your former mail to see that you were expecting for more than the retreat orders.
I was waiting for Austrian move before to build anything.
My build is turkey b a smy
You did not send any mail 24 hours before this result.

Objet : DC215 Autumn/Winter 1902 Results
So I kind of forgot that I had set a deadline for Wednesday, so here are the delayed results; I apologize. Luckily, with our Italian leader having already requested a delay, my little lapse in concentration will not set the game back any further than was already planned. The next deadline, Spring 1903, will be this coming Thursday, November 13, at 9 pm eastern. Any necessary retreats will follow that, but then Fall 1903 will not be due until Monday, November 24 in order to accommodate Italy's absence.
The adjudication sees units retreat to Edi and Aeg, and Austria removes his army in Tyrolia. Despite the extra time available I received no build from Sultan Vince, so Turkey waives its build.
