I vote yes to the Russian solo.

Frank, is there any objection making my vote now or do I need to repeat it in the following orders?

DC300 - Fall 1905 adjudication & EGP - bielf11   (Apr 05, 2010, 12:36 pm)
Fall 1905: Russia moves further east; its expansion to the south is blocked by the Turks.\
Germany moves closer (in)to France but the English fleet force the Germans to retreat from the North Sea; Italy moves west, seemingly pushing France into a more defensive position.

The first EndGame Proposal - Solo for Russia - is up for voting with Winter adjustments.
A missing vote is a NO vote so only if I have received a YES from all remaining players, is the EGP accepted.

DC300 - Autumn 1905 & EGP - bielf11   (Apr 05, 2010, 12:32 pm)
Autumn 1905: German F North Sea retreats to Yorkshire.

1905 has been a year of heavy terrain losses for Germany who lost Munich and Belgium. The Russians are pushing the German army to go west, entering the French domain.
Meanwhile England is successfully fighting back the Germans on the seas. Will this be the turnaround for the Germans who were so successful earlier?
Italy has moved further west and closer to France but France hasn't been sitting idle either, taking control of Belgium.

Adjustments

Only if I receive all YES votes is the EGP accepted. Any NO vote or missing vote will reject the EGP.

Spring 1905: heavy fighting in western Europe in Belgium and Burgundy and on the North Sea.
In England Russia sneaks through the backdoor and occupies Liverpool (rumor has it that this is start of Russian money pooring into the Blackpool area); Italy takes a shot at Marseille but is bounced by the French fleet from the Golf of Lyon; down south Italy is more successful in Greece which had just been vacated by the Russians; Turkey survives the Russian attack on Smyrna but has to surrender Bulgaria.
The German army in Belgium is forced out by the French. Retreat required. See below.

DC300 - Autumn 1904 retreats - bielf11   (Mar 23, 2010, 7:55 am)
Autumn 1904:
France:    A Belgium - Picardy
Turkey:    F Constantinople - Smyrna

Brings us to Winter 1904.
Apparently 1904 has been the Year of Change. Some paid a terrible price for their expansion attempts.
We see France who lost 2 supply centers this year, and Turkey and Germany each lost one.
But where there's pain, there's also gain. And the lucky ones are Italy and Russia.
It's hard to swallow for some but Russia has secured 4 more supply centers this year!

Ownership:
England:   Edinburgh, Liverpool, London.
France:    Brest, Marseilles, Paris, Portugal, Spain.
Germany:   Belgium, Berlin, Denmark, Holland, Kiel, Munich.
Italy:     Naples, Rome, Trieste, Tunis, Venice.
Russia:    Ankara, Budapest, Constantinople, Greece, Moscow,
Norway, Rumania, Serbia, Sevastopol, St Petersburg,
           Sweden, Vienna, Warsaw.
Turkey:    Bulgaria, Smyrna.

Adjustments

Turkey:    Supp  2 Unit  3 Remove  1

Deadline for Winter adjustments is Thursday Mar 25 at 17:00 GMT.
I'm still planning on scheduling Spring 1905 on Monday Mar 29. Let me know with Winter adjustments if that's a problem for anyone.

DC300 - Fall 1904 Adjudication - bielf11   (Mar 22, 2010, 2:00 pm)
Fall 1904: heavy losses for Turkey (F Greece disbanded and F Constantinople dislodged) and serious setback for France (A Belgium dislodged).
Russia apparently read the mind of the Pasha and with some help from Italy secured Greece and Constantinople.
Germany cut English Channel support for Belgium allowing the troops from Holland with help from Ruhr to force the French into retreat. And while the Germans are fighting the French the Russians sneak in the backdoor and take Vienna.
England meanwhile watches the French army from Wales and the Russians from Clyde fight over Liverpool without any winner. English diplomacy at work or sheer luck?

DC300 - Fall 1903 adjudication - bielf11   (Mar 09, 2010, 11:27 am)
Fall 1903: A historic moment: Austria, still in Civil Disorder, finds itself under heavy attack by combined Italian/Russian forces and falls apart. Austria is no longer.
German and English forces clash in Holland with no winner. As a consequence England's fleet in Skagerrak is bounced entering the North Sea and upon return finds itself overpowered by the Germans. With nowhere to go the fleet is disbanded.
Turkey has gone defensive this Fall but couldn't prevent Russia from sneaking into Ankara.

DC300 - further explanation of Grace periods - bielf11   (Mar 09, 2010, 4:48 am)
Hi everyone,

I found that the Grace Periods need further explanation. With this change grace periods won't cause multiple deadline extensions for one turn.

To be fair this will apply from today's adjudication forward.

Every player has 2 Grace periods for the whole game. A grace period extends the deadline for 24 hrs.
Grace periods can be requested (nice) or assigned (when no orders are received before the deadline).
Each turn can only have ONE grace period. Regardless of who got the grace period.
That means that in a turn only the first grace period is applied; any player who misses the extended deadline due to the grace period, NMRs; regardless of whether this is the same player as the one responsible for the grace period of that turn.

The grace periods are meant to give you a break in unforeseen circumstances. For other situations read on.
If you know that you're going to be unable to submit orders in the near future (say: holidays, work, etc) I can push deadlines out. This does not count against your grace periods. I will do so ONLY IF I know about you're unavailability BEFORE I send out the adjudication with the next deadline. So when the turn has started, you're too late. Since the deadlines for major turns are on fixed days (Mondays 17:00GMT) and for minor turns within 2 days after, you can check for yourself whether your schedule is going to be a problem.

Frank

DC300 - Summer 1903 deadline - extended until Wedn... - bielf11   (Mar 02, 2010, 4:32 am)
Due to the different time zones we're in I have come to realize that 24 hrs may not be enough to do what this game is all about: talking (well, writing in this case) to eachother. So I have extended the deadline for Summer 1903 with another 24 hrs.
Also for future minor turns in this game I will adopt a 48 hrs response time instead.

DC300 - Spring 1903 Adjudication - bielf11   (Mar 01, 2010, 1:43 pm)
Spring 1903: winters on the Balkan can be harsh. Very harsh. Only the toughest survive out there. And others... they vanish. Without a trail.
So also the remnants of what once was the powerful army of the Austrian empire. Without a leader they have fled into their mountains or to their coasts. Leaving their land in Civil Disorder.
France and Italy contest the rights to Piedmont without a winner. Their forceful attack on Tunis however meets no resistance at all. The French also try to take Ruhr from the Germans but see their attempts thwarted. In the Nordics the Germans support a Russian attempt to take the North Sea but see it thwarted by the English who had to use all of their power to regroup their fleet. Russia has more luck in the Balkan and gains a strong foothold.

The Turks force the Italians out of Greece but find themselves forced out of Serbia by the Russians at the same time.
At the start of Summer 1903 we have 2 retreats pending. See below.

Adjudication

Austria:

Josa, our AH player has used all his Grace periods and NMR'd twice, meaning he is eliminated from this game.
For AH it means that all his units, just A Trieste in his case, go into Civil Disorder. Had AHs position left him any chance of survival I would have sought a replacement player but with only unit left the AH population is at the mercy of its neighboring Powers.

Retreats
------------
Italian A Greece can retreat to Albania; or OTB.
Turkish A Serbia can retreat to Albania; or OTB.
Now this is an interesting situation that asks for exceptional diplomatic skills: two units requiring retreat and only one location.

DC300 - Fall 1902 adjudication - bielf11   (Feb 15, 2010, 1:53 pm)
Fall 1902:
a disastrous year for Austria. Although it manages to save Triest, the German forces run down the regiment in Vienna and the Russian army is more than happen to replace the Austrians in Budapest.
The English meanwhile are still trying to set foot on Nordic soil and ordered two of their fleet to Norway but the Russian armies fight them off. And apparently the Russians rather allow the Germans into Sweden than loose it to the English. An attempt by the English to take control of the North Sea fails because the Germans try the same.
The Italians have a hard time, too. Although they don't incur any losses, they loose face trying to capture Tunis, Triest and the Adriatic. Luckily they still find themselves in control of Greece, but for how long? The Turks in Bulgaria already made a dash at Greece but were bounced. They seem to be expanding into the Mediterranean but will have to share it with the Italians. Any hope for a peaceful solution?
