DC508 Winter Press 15:2120 - hapolley   (Sep 15, 2014, 10:18 pm)
No byline: Really bad start for Japan and New Zealand. If USA moves F Mau-Vos and (new) A Mid-Mau there is a big problem for Japan. And then big Indonesia in the south. Really bad.If the Marshalls take tzi and France stands there is
a big problem for New Zealand. And don`t forget Australia. Really bad, too.    No byline: Wonder where Indonesia will grow after Japan?

Oceania DC508HP\Fall 2000 Results!/Winter 2000 ord... - hapolley   (Sep 14, 2014, 7:36 pm)
Results Attached!    OCEANIA PRESS RELEASESGM: In the corners: A Sneak move by Japan, but I do not think Indonesia noticed the danger sor wasin from a hop and got lucky. The other corner positions did well each getting 2 Builds. Zealand has been outflanked by France and can not build a hopable Army. United States has been outflanked by Marshall_Islands but not by hopable unit. Japan is in same situation but with less resourses to deal
with trouble.
In The Middle: Indonesia is the leader with 3 builds and has escaped being outflanked by Japan. Its always tough going for Marshall_Islands but he/she has the advantage of being able to build and use lots of hopable units.    Press: -- USA=>Marshall: You can have wak, but I want pho! [looks like a deal to me] --    Answer to Indonesia: I am interested in an alliance with you. Perch is definitely in my Zone of interest, but I if we Can reach an agreement, I Would be willing to lent it to you. Australia
Answer to Australia: Perth to you is okay. It would be nice if you take it with an army. What do youthink about a DMZ Nio-Tis-Ars-Tos-Nco (in a later stage)? Indonesia    Australia: I am interested in alliance with you.  Much mutual profit. No conflict.  Japan

DC508 Map: Armies show up as Planes when on Chain... - hapolley   (Sep 14, 2014, 1:12 pm)
Adjudicator can handle N or F for Fleet/Navy Unit symbol, or you can leave it out with move orders.eg. F nap-ION, N nap-Ion, nap-Ion all work!
For a movement aid, the Armies will show up on the map as planes when on chain Islands as Armies everywhere else. This tells you when the Army unit can hop!

Programming A Variant Diplomacy Adjudicator - hapolley   (Sep 12, 2014, 11:23 am)
Sites:
https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/Just_Basic/info
http://justbasic.com

I would like to Code my Power Basic Adjudicator into an open source JUST BASIC coded Adjudicator. Anyone who wishes to learn to code in BASIC or knows how to code in Basic is invited to get the FREE BASIC language [JUSTbasic] and join the above YAHOO Group to help me create the program. It would be great if the development of the program made it work as an online Adjudicator compatible with this site.

Oceania Game House Rules and Stuff - hapolley   (Sep 09, 2014, 10:21 am)
Adjudication:
So first deadline is Thursday September 11/ 2014 at 1800.

Players will use Anticipated retreats and builds!
Auto Retreats and Removals will be done using my
adjudicator program.

Deadlines will be every Thursday (spring/summer)
& Sunday (fall/winter) at 1800MT Calgary time.

A Winter deadline may be stretched to Tuesday when
builds/removals are too complicated or a Player does not
send in Winter Orders.

Of note Davao and its borders on the map have been altered
in an effort to prevent Japan from running away with game
again. If you have Japan do not be discouraged it is still
a very strong position.

My adjudicator will output auto retreats, according to an
areas type and value by number of areas adjacent to possible
retreat area. No Move Received will result in a substitute
call, if there is a second NMR then a substitute's orders
will be used, and that player takes over the position.
If no substitute comes forward the units will be in Civil
Disorder, the game will not be put on hold to deal with an NMR.

Other than as mentioned above the standard house rules will
apply unless they conflict with common sense or the game's
rules.

For the first year I will look over moves as they come in
and point out to player moves which will not work do to bad
'hop' or syntax error, after that you are on your own.
My adjudicator does have a spell checker so if I can figure
out what you ordered it will go even if syntax is not
perfect or you have wrong unit type.
