DC124 - End of Game - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
By unanimous vote ; albeit belated, Malcolm Hall as Austria and Clagr as Russia are victorious! You two have overcome all competition and are to be credited with a Draw as the final result of DC124.

Eric Marr and Morgan Stinson have survived the conquest wrought by our victors, and will be credited as such.

------

Many thanks to everyone who has participated in DC124. It was a good game, and it was my pleasure to GM it for you. Trout, again thank you for taking over the reigns while I was out for a few weeks on vacation.

I have attached the final map and RP file.

Thanks again everyone, hopefully we'll meet again in a game soon.

DC124 - Important Update - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Everyone,

I realize that the deadline for our last turn was two days ago and I have still not posted the results. The reason behind this is that unfortunately our Turkish player has gone missing in action and I have failed in attempting to contact him. Normally at this point I would immediately begin seeking a replacement, however with my vacation coming up next week there simply is not enough time for me to find one and proceed with the next turn before I have to leave.

So I'm going to begin the pause which was planned for my vacation a bit earlier than expected. DC124 is on hold until I return on December 8th. Once I return (probably a day or two after actually) I will start looking for a replacement for Turkey. If during this pause our existing Turkey contacts me I will evaluate if it would be best to keep him in the game or seek a replacement anyway.

I do have orders for the retreat that is pending and when I get home this evening I will post the results and map. If there are any questions please let me know.

DC124 - Seeking Replacement - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
The empire of Turkey is in need of a new commander. The year is 1902 and it's currently winter. Turkey is unfortunately surrounded, but if you have a tongue of honey you can talk your way into an alliance.

Is anyone out there up for the challenge? Please email me directly or post in the DC124 forum at www.diplomaticcorp.com.

DC124 - Autumn 1902 Results - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
It was brought to my attention that I never sent out the retreat results. I could have sworn that I had, but I must be going senile in my young age. He's the map for Autumn. We're going to wait on winter pending a replacement for Turkey. If we can secure a replacement before I leave I'm going to have another GM run DC124 for the few weeks that I'm gone. I'll keep you all updated.

Somehow or another I recorded the wrong set of orders for England for spring 1901. England's orders should have been as follows:

F Edinburgh - North Sea
A Liverpool - York
Fleet London - English Channel (*Bounce*)

This means that the French Fleet remains in Brest and English Fleet from London will stay in London. I will correct the map and send it to everyone this even when I return home.

DC124 - Please check the DC124 forum - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
I have received a number of questions wanting to confirm that Germany is due a build order for winter 1901, and that the results I posted for Fall 1901 did in fact contain a mistake.

I have addressed those questions individually with the people who have asked, but I would like to remind everyone to check the DC124 forum on the diplomaticcorp web site for updates regarding DC124. I will frequently post important game information in the forum such as updates, corrections, changes, and deadline reminders.

You can receive email notifications of new posts by subscribing to the DC124 forum as well. As DC124 is the pilot game for the new forum the majority of my communication to the group will be via the forum. In general the only emails I will send to you; the players are turn results, confirmation of orders received, and answers to any questions you send me.

DC124 - Update & My Vacation - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Here's a brief update on DC124.

I'm leaving for my vacation tomorrow morning. Originally I had intended to pause DC124 while I was gone, but Trout has offered to run things while I'm away. We're also still seeking a replacement for Turkey, and Trout will continue that process as well. I will return on the 8th of December, and I look forward to see how things are gong.

Everyone have a good holiday, and I'll talk with you in a couple weeks.

Hi Gents,

Apologies for not getting this out last night. Had a long drive and a busy day. Also, thanks everyone for your patience during this slight delay.

We have indeed found a new Turkey - just in time for American Thanksgiving. Please welcome Felix to the game. I'm sure some of you know him already, but for those that don't believe me that you now have a fine, dedicated player to helm your Sultan's forces. Felix's email address is < felixkamchung(at)mac.com (felixkamchung(at)mac.com)>

As for me, my name is Former Trout. I'll be stepping in just to help the game continue moving in Josh's absence. I will review and use Josh's house rules, so there should be no difference there. Hopefully we can ease this game back into a steady pace and deliver it back to Josh in one piece on his return. =P

I believe we are at the Winter 1902 turn and adjustments from Austria, England and France are due. To accommodate the weekend holiday our American mates are having, the deadline for Winter will be set for Monday, November 26th (11:59 PM GMT). HOWEVER - I will adjudicate early if all 3 sets of orders are received and marked 'FINAL'.

Cheers everyone. Once again, thank you for hanging in there and keeping the faith.
