DC 134 - WOT - Fall 1003 Results - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
We had 2 miswritten orders, one which could have changed the outcome of this year. Instead, everyone is right where they started except for the northward shuffle of the Westland's armies.
No retreats necessary, we need builds from the Borderlanders and Whitecloaks.
As the Whitecloaks can only build A Armadica, I will assume that order.
Ward, If you can get me your build by Friday, April 4th, we can keep moving.

The Westlands moved from Dhagon to Shadar Logoth, not Saldaea

Sorry for the confusion.

3 days negoitating time is very tight, given my schedule...

If possible I would be happier with a long time between turns...

Much as I hate to agree with those Westland fellas... I also could always use a few days longer on the turn deadlines... Mostly just cuz I'm a lazy bastard - but that goes without saying. =P

Often during the week I struggle to check my personal email

DC 134 - WOT - Spring 1004 Results - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Once again, there is a whole lot of bouncing around the densely packed center of the map.
The Midlands are pushed inward, with Whitebridge disbanded, and Bream Wood only able to retreat to Caemlyn. (Jules, if you would prefer a disband let me know ASAP)
We also have a DIAS proposal, so please include a vote with your next orders. I will count no vote as a no vote.

Fall orders due Monday, April 21st (at) 9PM

And an FYI, I will be out of town the week of April 28 - May 2, so we will have a game hold for that week.

DC 134 - WOT - Fall 1004 Results - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
The Midlands NMR, but it does not really make a difference as any moves they could have ordered would have resulted the same way as two of their units are crushed and their SCs taken by a combination of the Westlands, Whitecloaks, and Seafolk.
The Westlands also lose a unit as the Borderlanders force their way into Braem Wood.
With all those disbands, no one has to retreat, so we can move straight to the Builds:
The Borderlands and Whitecloaks both get one, while the Westlands get 2.
Adjudication when I return, Monday, May 5th (at) 9PM.

And we are back!
New armies have mustered in Arafel and Amadicia, while the Westlands spends his two builds floating one Fleet in Tarabon.
The Borderlands are further threatened by the reappearance of both Trolloc and Aiel armies in the North.

Spring 1005 orders will be due Monday, May 12th (at) 9PM

News and rumor fly on a thousand wings.
Before the dust settles, the whole world knows.
With the Borderlanders distracted, the Trolloc Hordes poured through Tarwin's Gap and have sacked Fal Dara.
The only good news is that an Army of Black-eyed Aiel was prevented from leaving the Passes of the Spine of the World.

In the rest of the world, The Sea Folk are on the move again, and the Garyth Bryn is rumored to have died in the rubble of the New City as the Whitecloaks burn Caemlyn and send the Midlands to the World of Dreams. Thank you Jules for a great game. When you can please send me your EOG notes and suggestions for Varient improvements

There are no retreats, so we will move straight to the Fall 1005 orders.
One player is going to be away from the 'net for the end of this week, so I will set the deadline for Monday, May 19th (at) 9PM

My poor people are now slaves to Westlands and those that are not have become vermin - Whitecloaks.
I plead with the Northlands and the Southland to take back the midlands and ruling it together to crush this spread of disease.

RIP Midlands.

The Trolloc attacks and the work of Darkfriends have thrown all nations into a Panic!
Armies blunder around and many wait to support forces that never attack.
Arafel lies in Ruins as the Borderlands sit nearly parilized, and the Seafolk have landed an army on the mainland at last.
The Arafel garrison can only retreat to Kandor, so I have ordered that move. (Ward, let me know if you would prefer to OTB).
Winter 1005 build orders due Monday, May 26th. I will be away from Friday through Monday so will not get reminders out, but will also not adjudicate until tuesday morning.

Our intrepid Borderlander general, after fighting valiantly against the hoards of RL time constraints, has found himself unable to continue with us.

So I must put our game on hold until a replacement can be found.
Trout, can you put it out to the Light Brigade?

Thanks all.

Personally I think the life and 'testabi8lity' has gone out of this game with yet another replacement.

A new borderlands at this stage would severely impact the alliances that has formed.

I, with your permission, would like to propose an end-game with a

Draw for soutlands, whitecloaks, westland and sea-folk

(and if it passses we can then just crediut borderklands with a survivial rather than an abandonment)

So I have 3 votes for a 4-way draw with the Borderlands Surviving, and one vote for a Trolloc Solo.
I will process the game close on DC when I get back on Tuesday.

I just want to thank you all for playtesting this map.
Please send me your thoughts and ideas for improvements, and weather or not you would be interested in playing the next iteration of this variant.
(just so you know, some of the planned changes involve the removal of Dragonmount, the Eastlands as a nation, and adding a path through the Mtns of Mist between Katar and either Baerlon or the two rivers.)

Great game, everyone, Thank you!

DC 134 - Game Over - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Good Game everyone.

EoG statement Westlands.
***********************

My initial plan was to make an alliance with the sea-folk given that i figured i would need at least a 3 country alliance to really put the seafolk on the ropes.
Alas one of those countries was Felix and since he tends to follow the same "let's be allies in this game and then I shall stab you" plan, I knew i could
not get the allies I need. I made my intial alliances with the Seafolk and Original Midlands and setr about trying to defend from felix's 'surprise' attack that
would come in the first year (for the record it did!, but at least I was ready).

Trout looked strong in the southlands and with the midlands crumbiling and changing ownership they looked even better. I approahced the borderlands and
formalized our alliance - we planned to take the eastlands down and then go through the midlands.

It was around this time the whitecloakcs changed leader. I contacted Jordan about a posisble working together (in my mind, any war between the westlands and the whitecloaks would lead
to someone else winning) but received no answer. No surpirse there, he was replaced a few seasons later with Garry (who was a reasonable and sensible ally).

The new midlands (my close friend Julien) demanded a lot of territories and would compromise on nothing. He also assumed as i had 6 SC, i wa the biggest and
had to be attacked (not neccessary the right thing in diplomacy). Sean (another friend of mine) in the borderlands was also tired of Julien's diploming style
and we worked together. Contrary to populr belief, Sean was calling a lot of the shots when it came to the eastlands and midland attacks.

Working with Garry we wuickly decimated the midlands and was all set to move against Trout in the south. I then lost contact with Jorge.
I send at least 5-6 messages with no reply and I suspect (*from now established contact) that he did the same. But with no messages, i built a fleet in
defence and e moved his fleets in defence. When Trout convoyed his army onto the mainland, I knew the Trout had courted my ally.

If the game had contiued my plan was

1) work with Garry and Sean to eliminate Trout
2) work with Garry to break and eliminate the seafolk whilst holding sean at bay
3) stab sean and go for the solo

Unfortunately, Sean was unable to play on and i just could not face another replacement so i called for a draw. Jorge, Trout and Garry definately should have
been included in any DIAS and Sean was only relgulated to a survivial because he was the one quitting....

good players in the end but too much love lost at the beginnnig.

.ExternalClass DIV {;} So I have 3 votes for a 4-way draw with the Borderlands Surviving, and one vote for a Trolloc Solo.

Jason
