Ben,
I don't see a Con/Prn adjacency on your official version of the map. It looks like Asu is between them. Clarify?

This message is in reply to post 12610:

There are two terrain features to note in this variant, the Rivers and Mountains.

Rivers - quite simple actually, land zones that have a river by them are treated as if they have canals. That is, fleets can move from space to space along the river. Being a coastal zone, fleets in such a space cannot convoy, much like a fleet in Kiel (in standard) cannot convoy.

Mountains - along the edge of Chile and Peru, mountains block movement (actually, block adjacency - including supporting across them) except for the designated mountain passes indicated on the map.

If anyone has a question about how these features work, do speak up… If you later try to make up some excuse about how you didn’t know, that will appropriately be met with “not now, I’ve got to feed my llama”.

That’s right, it’s time to begin our little game, “Not now, I’ve got to feed my llama!”

(or, NNIGTFML for short) Be warned, this should not be confused w other titles that happen to share the same popular acronym, like Ned Niederhosen is Going to Frequent More Lavatories or the documentary Neutered Newts in Gory Thriller Films Making Love.

This one is South American Supremacy. Which of course begs the question in our south-of-the-border stadium – which one of you will reign supreme? As far as preferences went, you all suck. What good does it do to turn in prefs, if you’re all going to pick the same flipping thing? I mean really. So some of you got what you wanted, others got a bit hosed – but everyone will still have fun I’m sure.

Now our lineup!
We have an American group stepping up to the plate this game, in fact a pretty New England bunch if you do ask me with 6 of our 8 players shouting out from that strip between Baltimore and Maine.

Now to a little matter of the first deadline: Friday Sep 4, 6pm Central / 2300 GMT. Keep in mind the following Monday is Labor Day, so if a week like this is too short for anyone for the first turn, let me know.

Next thing - PRELIMS. Use them! ‘Nuff said.

I think that’s it! Oh wait did I mention prelims? If not, use them! ‘Nuff said.

Enjoy,
-mike
