Farsightedness: The Butterfly Effect states that a butterfly that flaps its wings in Malaysia could cause a typhoon in British Columbia. So too could minor variations in one part of the board affect play across the board. The Captain of Watch asesses the board for all possible impacts - both immediate and long-term.

Hi guys,

I'm afraid Mike failed to meet the deadline. This
means I shall have to find a replacement player.

I appreciate Mike stepping in as a replacement and regret having to take
this step.

Hi guys,

it looks like we may not be back on track after all. I shall have to evaluate how to deal with what looks like a most unhappy situation and shall be back in touch once that matter has been resolved one way or another. In any case, a winter adjucation may not be immediately forthcoming.
