Hi Everyone,

Matthew, thanks for being such a reliable and timely GM. I look forward to playing in a game you helm in the future.

Overall this was a game dictated more by who was reliable and who was not. Unreliable players and all-too-frequent NMR's meant that deciding who to trust and what tactics to employ was as much about having a sense of who would actually be submitting orders - or not! As such this certainly won't go down as a classic but, in trying to navigate the fickleness of participation, had its own interesting-if-different problems to wrap your head around.

The high point for me was working closely with Jerome. By nature I am an alliance player, so our long-term cooperation - really since the earliest turns of the game, despite our claims to the contrary! - was a pleasure. Of course it made the decisive stab harder to execute as well. I rather would have thought he was an ass so there would be no remorse in that case. Smile

Thanks to everyone who saw it to the end, particularly Baz whose position was near-hopeless years ago yet continued to submit orders and help the game conclude in a positive way.

Hope to see the reliable ones among us again, soon!

Dirk

Good evening gentlemen

First of all, congratulations to Dirk on a successful outcome to a very skillfully-played game.

Many thanks to Matthew for keeping us all in order, including coping with two abandonments and a frustrating number of NMRs.

Finally - good luck to all of us in future games. Until next time .........

John
