I would and I'm sure Doug would appreciate anything you have to say about this variant or any other.you've designed. If you'd like to write about anything else feel free as we're always looking for articles. If you need any help or someone to bounce article ideas off off just let me or Doug know.

All of this goes for the rest of you as well..

[quote:ff96e28aa2] I would be glad to do that, but would love it even more if another player decided to.  Variant designers offer the worst commentary on their own variants - they tend to get tunnel vision from their first impressions during the design process, and miss things that fresh sets of eyes catch.

it doesn't have to be alot...maybe some designers note from the designer Benjamin? how about something on the play of this variant from any of the players? don't make whine further because i will...

you don't have to send it to me if you're afraid of divulging your closely guarded secrets of this game to another player...you can send it to DW's managing editor Doug Kent at ♫
dougray30(at)yahoo.com...Doug is my toady and not much of a Dip player but generally a good editor and all around decent person, i mean as decent as you can be playing a game where lie and screw over other players..

We've got a lineup here with some of the best in the hobby - including some new hopefuls, some dc regulars, some old-school vets, and some dinosaurs that have been around forever.

This game will follow in my typical 4-season Diplomacy fashion, that is with autumn retreats and winter builds combined into one season to cut back on the minor turns.  You can always submit your build orders conditional upon the autumn retreat ordrers, if that affects what you would build.  See my house rules online for further info.  Actually, you should read them even if further info isn't really your bag of chips, or even if you dont care for info much at all.  No, even if it would make you grossly ill, you should still read the house rules.  They're that good.  Trust me.

For those of you got on the wrong train, you have showed up for South American Supremacy - As the train has now left the station, this is where you're going whether you like it or not - but how could you not?  With a variant created by the legendary Ben Hester, you would have the wisdom of a llama to not want to play in this one.

So - without delaying this any further than I already have, let's get a confirmation from all 8 players, including if you like a preference list of countries.  Even if you dont have a preference, you should still reply to me to confirm you're interested, and indicate no preference.

With this crowd, I'm not anticipating we'll have any long-term issues with NMRs.  I'll be running this game in my usual way, that is with processing NMR's as they fall.

Enjoy!

Diplomacy games may contain lying, stabbing, or deliberately deceiving communications that may not be suitable for and may pose a hazard to young children, gullible adults, and small farm animals.
