All prelims are in! 4 hours till deadline! Unlikely I will be on line again till deadline.==========================================================Winter Proposals: Vote with your Spring and Fall moves!I/F draw: A/M/N/J/U drawVery HappyIAS :========================================================== Oceania DC508\SPRING/2007 Press!:==========================================================   7) Non writer of numbers 4 & 6: It might not be a bad idea, if Australia is game (and willing to forego his own victory), to go forth and fight the two nations that know each other and, apparently, aim for a two-way draw. How about going for a five-way excluding Indonesia & France? Gunboat it is no longer anyway.=========================================================   6) Statement no. 4 is correct: Knowing another player in a gunboat game is a big advantage even without direct communication.   5)France to NZ: Please join me in the attempt to stop Australia, no use in attacking me and let Australia win.   4) The good thing with gunboat is that you don't know the player. And thereby not the players psychological profile. Is he a partner to the end, is he a stabbing type if you
turn your back to him, is he revengeful to the end if you have crossed him or is he a labdog. Even if the two players don't communicate with one another they still know these facts.   3) France to all : Since this mistake has taken so much attention.I would like to clarify that I join Indonesia andcan promise you all I shall not contact him . Otherwise I wouldn't had brought all this into the attention of the GMin the first place.GM: in interest of game play, this is from France.    2) Japan/Marshall/NewZealand/USAUSAUSA - Indonesia: Why should I not play on? If you want a two-way, good luck, but I won't surrender until I'm gone, and I wonder if a stalemate is possible in this variant. So
either propose a DIAS or show me that a 2-way is really a likely result. I think not! GM two cents: forming a stalemate line in this game is much harder than in other ones which is why I like running the game.    1) Nobody has ever won this variant but Japan.  Looks like our current fearless leaders want a draw and keep Japan's record intact.==========================================================

Diplomacy games may contain lying, stabbing, or deliberately deceiving communications that may not be suitable for and may pose a hazard to young children, gullible adults, and small farm animals.
