This is only the 2nd time the Pericles variant has been played, and both times the game ended in a solo. Does that imply this game is disposed toward single winners over draws? Surely a 2 game history is hardly sufficient to base a statistical analysis, but 2 for 2 is pretty convincing. I didn’t think this was going to be a solo with the north-south showdown that started forming toward mid game, and especially not for Boeotia, as the difficulty for that nation to get armies onto the peninsula seems to be a prime challenge. However 17 years (and 256 days) later, Scott pulled it off.
